Battery for HP nc8430. As I recall, first battery would not fully attach. The slot in the battery to accept the hook on the laptop was not sized correctly. (There is a second hook, that one on the battery, that partially held it in place.) Sent it back for a replacement. Second battery would not fully attach for the same reason. Figured it was a waste of time to return it again, so I kept it. Every few hours or so I'd need to push the battery back into place to keep it charging. After about 18 months, that got tiresome, so I contacted the company to see if they'd give me a deal on a replacement battery. Received a very pleasant reply that they'd be happy to sell me a battery for the full price, but would generously give me free ground shipping. Their full price was about about twice what I could purchase it elsewhere (including places with free shipping). I didn't take them up on that 'generous' offer. |
