Strengths: Lots of additional software. KDE is the default gui and it is an excellent one. DVD installation is fast and easy.
Weakness: Slightly unstable, even after downloading updates. Mouse crashed, and then would fix itself again.
This is a very large and comprehensive distro, with lots of additional software. The DVD installation is great: well thought out and the packaging is top-notch with two documentation books, though a little light on the details. One problem is that it is slightly unstable, and crashed a couple of times (not fully, but rather the program locked up) and the mouse would sometimes crash. Very strange. Laptop installation was easy though less easy than the Redhat installation. The DVD player did not fully work, and I am still investigating why.

Strengths: GREAT amount of tools and software, nice looking GUI, allows you to slow down the GUI effects if your RAM or processor is a bit slower. one of the best OSs iv ever used, and iv used Free BSD and BeOS.
Weakness: yea right, SuSe owns.
Well, i saw the other person say it was unstable after updates, i dont know about that, i pushed my box hardcore and its a P3 733 with 384 MBs of RAM and i never had a problem, id leave it on for weeks with no problems, logged in and online and it would almost beg for more. This is one of the very best OSs i have ever used, its easy enough for a newbie and after you have used it a while you can use the advanced features and learn alot more. it has everything from graphics editing to Music. Its kinda like Windows XP but with half the resource needs. I COMPLETLY recommend it.
