I has been 9 months and I never received my subscription. I have contacted them about 5 times. Also, the magazine company does not recognize them as a authorized or unauthorized seller. Retailer Response (05/14/2007): Mr. Beaudry: As of 5-4-07 MagKing has new ownership and we have in the last week or so been working to resolve your problem. We are not authorized by the publishers because they work through distributors. And we sell through them. We have communicated extensively with you and are still trying to figure this out. |

Perfect Fraud!! Do not buy any magazine from them. I paid money for subscription July 26, 2006. Today is December 28, 2006. Until now I have not anything, and I sent emails 8times with no response. I really crazy. They are a robber!! Retailer Response (05/14/2007): NOTICE - NOTICE - NOTICE MagKing is under new ownership. As of May 4th, 2007 Magking has new ownership. I am a organized, dedicated, committed woman. Alumni of St. Marys' College. I recently purchased MagKing and look forward to improving service and customer relations. Before I ended up at this site I was at many other sites shopping around.. I did find that this site had better prices and way better convience in finding what I needed .. Great job .. I will be back !!! |

I ordered "The New Yorker" (renewal) and was charged. Not only did I not receive the magazine renewal BUT MagKing did not respond to any emails or a phone message (which I think was a cell phone number). I have written to my charge company and included all evidence. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They are frauds - take the money and run. COMPLETELY FRAUDULENT COMPANY--DO NOT ORDER! I placed an prder for a subscription on 7/9/06. Today is 11/6/06. I have not received a single issue. My credit card was charged long ago (3 days after I placed the order). I have emailed them 4 times with zero response. They do not publish a phone number on the website, and (too late for me now) there are multiple other similar reviews of this company on various websites from the last 5 months. I have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am awaiting action. Retailer Response (05/14/2007): NOTICE - NOTICE - NOTICE MagKing is under new ownership. This company took my money $22.59 for a subscribtion to Astronomy Magazine. Called the Magazine Company said they never heard of them (MagKing). They do not deal with them so save your money and pay the magazine company direct. I tried to save money and now I am paying more. |

Like the review before mine...I have also waited 16 weeks for my subscription to arrive and have also wasted $50 on a product that I will never receive. I have also emailed magking.com several times with out a response. |

I ordered the New York Review of Books through Magking on November 2005, but have not yet received a single copy. Despite repeated enquiries and follow-up e-mails through their web-based customer service contact center, I have not heard back from them. I have lost over $50 in the process and have no hope of ever getting it back. I will never make a purchase from MagKing again (other discount magazine sites are far more reliable and responsive) and would not recommend anyone else to make a purchase from them. Use MagKing only if you plan to lose hard-earned money. |
