Nice Product, But Not Perfect

Posted Apr 18, 2008 - The Shiatsu and regular massage action are pretty good on this model. The massage mechanism does not reach to the the top of the back rest, and I never really feel the massage action in the shoulder blade area, even when I consciously push my shoulders against the seat. I am 6' tall, I think there would be much less benefit on the upper back for someone taller. However, for the lower back the unit works quite well, and the remote control does have a setting that allows for full, lower, or upper back massaging. You can also control the width of the massaging mechanism so you can concentrate on areas closer to the spine or further to the perimeter of the back. The included heat output can also be controlled and is analogous to the heat put out by a good heating pad. All in all, it can not replace a human massage therapist, but it can provide some relaxing comfort for tired and sore lower back muscles.

Not bad for a machine

Posted Nov 26, 2007 - Generally satisfied. The cusion gives relatively good massage of lower and middle back but unfortunately doesn't go too high. I have 6' height and can't get a massage over my shoulder blades. The cusion looks a little bit cheap, specially the plastic remote and doesn't leave a feeling that it will serve for a long time.

OK to me

Posted Feb 7, 2008 - Found this massage cushion during the after Thanksgiving early bird sales. The price was very attractive. I like the fact that it has two massage modes - spot Shiatsu massage and rolling massage. The spot Shiatsu massage is a deep massage so some people may not like it. It also allow you to adjust the width of the massage area so big people and petite people can adjust it to their likes. The seat has vibration mode. I tried to place on a sofa and did not work too well. It works better on a high back office chair. I wish the massage balls could go up to the neck. The material of the cushion seems average so not sure how long this cushion will last. I am not expecting too much.
