Terrible! I ordered a trampoline for my grandson's birthday on Sept 28. They promised it would be here in time. On the friday before his birthday they sent an email that there was some mistake and that the trampolines were on backorder and would be shipped in November. They blame it on the warehouse and are full of apologies, but the fact remains that they totally ruined my plans and left me up a creek. |

It took from May 10 until August 28 to get the product, get return auth, and ship the product back, then get credit. When the credit came, it was $50 less than the amount paid. They said it was restocking and shipping when the representative told me there would be NO restocking charge and NO return shipping. I did not use the product. Mercantilia is a SHISTER company and they will put the screws to you big time. DON'T, repeat, DON'T order nothing from them. You are in for a traumatic experience. Go to Google and type in Mercantila complaints.....You'll see |

This is the worst online merchant I have ever dealt with. I ordered a wine cooler, which arrived damaged (the handle was falling off and it was dented). I called immediately and someone took down the info. They never got back to me about picking up the item, despite five calls and numerous emails. I was then told that I had to provide pictures of the damage and that I was responsible for packing up this 200 lb. item. The shipper, who was supposed to unpack the thing, just dumped it at my door. Do not purchase anything from this merchant. It does not get worse than this. |

I purchased a loft bed from mercantila.com. The company promised a special shipping price which included installation. The product was dropped off and never installed. They also promised a free lamp with the purchase which was never delivered and when asked - said they were all out of those lamps. Then when we installed the bed ourselves, one of the side planks was cracked. The company will not refund for the installation costs and we are getting a run around on the side plank replacement. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Customer service is terrible! It appears that their company name is filled with bad reviews all over the internet. I also plan on contacting the BBB and the attorney generals office for the state of california. I understand people are thinking of starting class action lawsuits against Mercantila. |

Ordered 2 nightstands on Feb 22nd, ship date was 3/18. Called Mercantila on 3/20 when had not received shipping confirmation and was told that item was back ordered and would be shipped on 4/10. Called on 4/10, and customer service representative was rude and gave me no information. Items arrived on 4/13. One of the two items was damaged. On 4/15, I contacted Mercantila and was asked to email pictures and information of the damage. I called them on 4/22 after not hearing back from them and was told they were working on resolving the issue. Called on 4/28 again after not hearing from them, and was told they were still tryting to resolve the issue with the manufacturer. As of now, its been over 9 weeks since I placed the order, I don't have my all the items for which they charged me at the time of purchase, and have a broken item in my home. I would not shop with them again. |

Ordered a pool cleaner and got delivery in 4 days. Very satisfied. Pricing was the best I could find online, and I got immediate email confirmation with a UPS tracking number. I would recommend this store to a friend (as long as you have a swimming pool!) |

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! They claim they shipped my order and so i wait for 7-10 days and i never get it. then i find out that they didnt even have the product and they put a bogus tracking number on my order so it looked like my order was on its way, but really the tracking number was for someone elses order completely. SOOOO I NEVER RECEIVED MY PRODUCT AND NOW IM FIGHTING TO GET MY MONEY BACK. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. IVE TRIED CALLING AND ALL I GET IS THE RUN AROUND. I ask to speak with their management and im on hold for 20 - 30 minutes and then i never get ahold of anyone. and when i ask to speak to their corporate office about my refund they wont let me and they say that they do not have phone numbers???!!!! um OK...!!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN OR HAVE ANYTHING TO DO W/ THEIR SERVICES AGAIN. |

(Edited March 19th by dleslie5495) I have not received my order for a Roberts sewing table. The business took $114.99 of my hard earned money. Web site says, "Ships within 1-2 weeks." My $10.00 cash back coupon said, "Ships within 1 day." It's been 3 weeks and I've received nothing. Talked with Rep on phone a few days ago. Said it was scheduled to ship today. (3/13) I checked their site and that never happened. 3/19/09 Called and asked for status again. Rep said, "Oh, we sent you an email that the legs are on back order from Utah." This was a lie, an email was never sent and I check my junk mail. The table doesn't come with legs from a different place, it is one unit. I sent an email today cancelling my order. I wonder how much this crappy company makes off interest for the millions of dollars of orders they hold money for that get cancelled. Threin lies the secret of their success. Perhaps the IRS should investigate them. |

It only took 3 business days for them to get it to me which I was very impressed with after reading all the bad reviews here, the item arrived in great condition and at the time the delivery company said it would. The price was unmatched, thats why I purchased from them. Not sure about all the people with problems but if your looking for a bowflex I say go for it. |

After over a month with no word, my wife finally got through to their "help" line after 30 minutes. They sent an email on 1/12/09 stating that the bed was no longer available and that we would be receiving our VISA refund in two to four business days. Fifteen days later, there was still no refund. I tried to call them, but no one answered their "help" line - after 30 minutes I hung up. I have now filed a dispute with my VISA and have detailed to them how fraudulant this company is. I even sent them 4 pages of reviews from PriceGrabber, where virtually everyone seems to agree that they are either running their own Ponzi scheme or are otherwise liars and/or outright theives. *******DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS COMPANY****** |

Boy, do I wish I had read these reviews. RUN AWAY!! I ordered a console curio cabinet from this company. It arrived (after FOUR weeks) with damage to the top of the cabinet (strange blemishes on the finish in 4 corners, plus a light "X" mark clearly made by a knife as the delivery guys opened the carton). Immediately logged a problem report online and requested a REFUND, not an exchange. I tried to call their customer service but could never get through. FOUR days later I received an email requesting that I email pix of the damage, which I promptly did. Then received an email from "Sal" saying he would be requesting another cabinet shipped out to me! I have emailed him many times now saying, NO, I want a REFUND not an exchange. I have not been able to get through to customer service. I have no idea what the outcome of this miserable experience will be, but do yourself a favor and avoid this company. |

As stated by others, this enterprise is a labyrinth of subsidiaries and such. They will not return calls or act on complaints after they take your money from credit card. I have reported my experience to law enforcement in addition to started disputed purchase process with card company. These people employ very smooth confidence grifters. Stay away from them. I wish I'd have done my homework and checked out these complaint sites before acting on purchase. It may be a very costly and agrivating and time consuming lesson on purchasing on internet. Mercantila is a den of scoundrels. |

I had to keep calling back because the phone would go dead after a certain time period. My items had been discontinued but I was never notified of this. They just kept my MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very uopst and spent so much time on this and still have not recieved a total refund, for something I never even recieved. I plan on contacting the better business bureau. DON'T BUY I am attempting to return this product and used their "Report a Problem with this Order" button on their web site. Nothing happend. So after waiting for the recommended 3 days after submitted the request to return the item, I decided to call their customer service department. Well there is no option to get to customer service without first going to the sales department and then asking them to transfer you. Then I say on hold multiple times throughout the day for at least 30 minutes each time. I got through once and was able to get someone to confirm that they did receive my request but hadn't done anything about it. Then i was put on hold while the woman attempted to get a Return Authorization number from the manufacturer. I was on hold for about 3 minutes that time. Then she told me that the person responsible for the RMA # had gone home for the day (it was 4pm their time) and that she left a voicemail and that I would get an RMA# tomorrow via email. This never happen |

Mercantila appears to be a holding company for a basket of on-line vendors. Unfortunately, even the company's corporate website does not disclose the names of their specific shops. Consistent with our experience below, any links on the corporate web site except BUY, lead to nowhere. If you order from any storefront name that ends with "Superstore" I would suggest finding out who owns them before placing an order. Either a very poorly run company or a scam. By phone you can only place orders. Anything else, they actually hung up on us. No email, on their site or via their one email confirming the order. None of the links on their web site work except to take orders. Our credit card company simply charged them back after we ordered over $1,000 from them and were in total limbo as to the status of the order. |

I ordered Legare 43 inch Office Computer Desk on Sept. 26, 2008 by phone. I knew that this desk is out of stock in many stores, so I asked their sales person to check that they really had it in stock. He confirmed that and assured me that the order will be shipped within 5 business days. They charged my card the day I ordered the desk. This was the only thing they did without delay. The desk has never been shipped. I tried to reach someone who could answer questions about my order for 5 days. Nobody calls back if you leave a message and they do not let you talk to anybody in the customer service - you are on hold forever. I received an answer only when I promised to the sales person to report to a credit card and start an investigation . After that they said that unfortunately they do not have the item in stock. They just charge your card and use the money. They lie to you and they know what they are doing. |
