Metal Detectors - Product Reviews

AlexSvenson - (July 04, 2007) My wife wanted to buy metal detector to find metals, coins and perhaps jewelry, if lucky. I asked my mother-in-law to order one for us because she had been an employee of a big retailer. Online price was cheap, so I thought it worth a try. It feels and does a good job. Looks like it has a good detecting coil too. Although we haven't found any gold yet, it was capable of finding metal objects. :) For the price we paid, it does meet out modest expecations we had from this product

Janczman - (June 11, 2006) Could hardly find a quarter under a newspaper. Unstable operation. Looked cheap. Warranty almost worthless. spent considerable amount of time learning how to set it with the manual only to learn it beeped when you even held the coil up in the air and wiggled the coil wire. Store would not take it back or exchange it for a different model.

doowop02 - (April 27, 2008) I purchased this not really as a hobby item, but to determine if my home improvement contractors had placed supporting metal/re-bar under and within a new concrete slab they had poured for me. I had argued that they did not pour this slab as agreed on with the reinforcement, and they said that they had done so. It was with this metal detector that I was able to prove in a court of law that they were not telling the truth. Now for the hobby part ... I've been looking for an easy hobby for my 79 year old father and I to enjoy together. I have done a lot of research on brands and have found Garrett to be one of the leaders. Its ability to fine tune the detection with easy that has made thi

cherrio - (01/21/2008) Have not tried all terrain yet. Great range & features. many features, and my husband was thrilled to receive! I would recommend to others. Fun way to spend time outdoors with that special someone.
