Great Buy!

Posted Apr 19, 2007 - Comfort:---------- I must say, I've gone through quite a few headsets so far. Most of them I've tossed out because of comfort issues. I'm a gamer, and I use my headset for hours at a time. So comfort is crucial, especially since I wear glasses. But this new design (some might not like the weird shape) really makes it comfortable to wear. Sometimes, I barely notice that I'm wearing it. It's great! Sound:----------- The sound clarity is above average. It has good bass levels so you get rich deep sounds as well as the usual treble. I'm very happy with the sound quality. Another really nice "feature" is noise reduction. It doesn't list this anywhere on the package, but it's ear padding really helps reduce background noise. I work in an office with 3 coworkers and they are always talking. I put this headset on, turn on some music, and I can't hear them at all! Mic:------------ I had an Altec Lansing headset before this and the mic was horrible. The mic performance on this is excellent! My Counter-Strike buddies love it because they can finally hear me without any static or interference. Durability:------ This has lasted me over 7 months, and I have NOT HAD ANY ISSUE at all! No damage, no scratches, no audio problems. Overall, I must say this is an EXCELLENT headset for the cost. I'm sure there might be better ones out there, but you'll end up spending over $50 for anything of this caliber. I bought mine for about $25 online. I love it and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Execellent buy

Posted Mar 30, 2007 - As a glass-wearer, I have had problems with several gaming headphones, including some high-end ones, due to the discomfort and/or headache after just a short period of use. This set turns out to be engineered specifically for people like me. The unusual shape ensures that the pressure is on the cheek instead of the ear. I could now wear it for 2 hours without major distraction. The sound is perfectly fine for gaming. The lack of 3D effects is no big deal since they do not work well on even the most expensive sets anyway. In fact, I am glad that this set is not USB based so my system still sees just one sound card. Besides the operational simplicity, it also allows my 5.1 surround speakers to continue on in the background, providing some real 3D effects. There are just two controls on the small control pod halfway on the cord: volume and microphone mute. The volume control is the only thing I wish different on this set. It would have been nice if it has more resistance and/or clicks. All in all, a basic and perfectly practical headset that is well worth the $25 I spent on it.

Posted Jun 16, 2007 - I've only tried it once for chatting, but that was with someone who had dile up and it was a really weak signal and they were in Canada, and I'm in Arizona so I can't really judge yet. Thank you onSale for having it and so for such a good price. Fast delivery too!
