Sharp R55TS 650-Watt Countertop Microwave

Strengths: looks gorgeous; both microwaves and toasts

Weakness: Microwave power is adequate, but, not as strong as full-size microwaves.

This microwave/toaster combination fits in a compact space and looks great! It makes an attractive addition to any area. Since it both microwaves and toasts, there's no need to have both appliances. It's perfect for a small kitchen.

Sharp R55TS 650-Watt Countertop Microwave

Strengths: Small, sleek looking design. Multi-function (Toaster, Grill, Bake Oven , and Microwave).

Weakness: Small wattage (650W). Rather expensive without coupons and rebate. Stainless steel faceplate is rather hard to clean (or to keep clean).

Bought this microwave to replace my $25 Black and Decker toaster oven and $30 Westinghouse microwave. It fits the design of a small kitchen. The only qualm I have about it is that the 650 W power sometimes takes longer time for food to heat up (compared to those 1000W microwaves). It's a deal at $80 though ($130 - 20% off coupon at Linen's and Things - $30 rebate from manufacturer). Overall, I have been happy with this small microwave. It's pretty easy to operate, has all the automatic settings for toasting and other cooking functions. My advise is that it's way better to spend $80 on this microwave than to spend $30-$40 on some cheap microwave that will dissappoint you later on.

Awful!

Strengths: It is a toaster oven and microwave that does work. I like the functionality, color etc. Very nice.

Weakness: I have tried two of the microwaves now - one I returned and replaced. Sparking on both the inside & outside of the microwave while Microwaving. SCARY! I will return and try something else.

I would not recommend buying this product. It is very scary when the machine sparks on both the inside & outside. The functionality is great. The first microwave worked for about 2 months. The second one 1 week.

Yikes!

Sharp R55TS 650-Watt Countertop Microwave

Strengths: This microwave does it all.

Weakness: None

This toaster oven with microwave is a space saver. I was looking for a microwave that was made of stainless steel in and out.

Sharp R55TS 650-Watt Countertop Microwave

Strengths: Very versatile, Multiple pre-set cooking times and settings makes it very easy to use.

Weakness: Not as high powered at full size.

This combo microwave/toaster/oven is great! It is just the perfect size for our pop-up camper. I realize that taking a microwave camping isn't exactly roughing it, but when you've been playing all day, it makes fixing dinner go a lot faster!!

Hello pjsagebiel,

I too want to purchase one of these for my Pop-Up! Now that you have used the microwave over a year, what do you think? Can it toast bread? Does it spark?

Thanks

An abomination

Strengths: Relatively small and stainless steel

Weakness: Too complicated

I bought this microwave oven and took it back the next day. I liked the appearance of the stainless steel which stays looking good when cleaned with steel wool. (Steel wool will dull enameled paint.) But this is one of those electronic devices that is user hostile. Einstein once said, (paraphrase) “Make it as complicated as necessary, but no more than necessary.” This device exemplifies the worst excesses in this regard. One can envision tech-nerds at the height of glee for creating this abomination.

Actually, Einstein said, "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler." You lose.
