liefam - (August 13, 2004) I needed a cheap external modem for an older Win 95 machine, and this fit the bill perfectly. No v.92 hassles, no soft modem hassles and no USB hassles. Just what I needed. Oh, and it's really fast.

zbsmith - (March 09, 2004) Using Juno.com for Dial up access and this modem, I routinely get connected between 53,500 and 54,000. The secret. Do Not Use the the US Robotics Drivers. Use the Generic drivers that come with windows xp. You'll also have to use the fax software that comes with xp. I dont think u can get a faster combination than US Robotics and Juno.com

1 Star Review USR 56K V.92 Performance Pro PCI (Mac)

AlexanderAkulick - (February 01, 2003) I have found changing between XP 56k driver and back to the Robotics un-signed V-92 driver will re-start operation of the card when it stops working and will restore the caller id. feature. I recommend a Diamond V-92 card it's cheaper, installs better, and performs just as it should. I foolishly added a USR2216 and USR8022 (see reviews) and got a full realization of this company, all bad - avoid them - they are not to be trusted. Their products have not seen the proper R&D and they don't care. They come up with lies and excuses when questioned. As for ZRRIFLE, in time it will harass you also, and I am not surprised you noticed increased system heat after installing it as it is power

1 Star Review Next Warehouse Sucks

bseidling - (08/26/2009) No picture of products jacks on backside, so you don't know if it will work, until you get it, then pay $10 to send it back and get a $7 restock fee. I will never do business with Next Warehouse again, or recomend them. This company sucks, and I will do anything possible to discourage anyone doing business with them.

4 Star Review Good so far

lttleosito - (08/15/2009) So far so good. A few people warned me not to get it but the price is hard to beat. Best Buy was selling it for $30 more than the online price. Charter Cable leases it with their cable internet for $5 a month. Seems silly not to get one.

4 Star Review The cute, little, speedy Linksys CM100 cable modem

gj1680 - (10/22/2008) This cable modem is designed with focus on style, size, and simplicity in installation. Even amateur like me has no trouble in setting it up right the first time. The instruction is clear and precise. The modem has only three lines to connect to, power, cable, and router/PC/Laptop. Upload and download speed is decent and performance is consistent and reliable. It runs much cooler than its predecessor, a Siemens SpeedStream 4100 DSL modem from SBC. Price is reasonable as I purchased it on sale. I strongly recommend this modem.
