Not suited for AMD Mobile Chips
Solid, stable board.
Cannot change the clock multiplier as you could in earlier Abit Nf7-S.
Posted Sep 20, 2005 - I bought this board thinking it was an update to the NF7-s which I have had for quite a while and which works great and overclocks easily with my XP2500-M mobile chip. I was able to use 11x easily with the older board. Unfortunately, this board is unable to change the multiplier which leaves you stuck with a 6x multiplier on the moble chip (or the default multiplier on a non-mobile chip). You can vary the FSB but not the multiplier. I called Abit to verify that this will not be fixed in a bios update and they confirmed that multiplier changes are not supported at all with this board. It is very solid if you plan to run your chip at stock speeds and is very well priced for the features you get. I should have done more research to determine that this board was not suited for my specific need.
