DFI's awesome motherboard
SLI SATA 3.0 GB RAID 0,1,0+1, 5
Poor documentation especially about memory capacity and configuration
Posted Aug 22, 2005 - This board has a lot of expansion capability with 8 SATA and 4 PATA device connections. The RAID configuration was pretty easy. The only thing I needed to do extra was download the new SATA drivers for Windows 2003. I am using 2x1GB OCZ DDR memory modules. The documentation says 512 MB max modules but 4 GB max capacity. Obviously a discrepancy. The BIOS is easy to work with and I had no problems flashing the BIOS with the latest version. Make sure you have a 500+ watt PSU to run all the HDDs, DVD-ROM drives, GeForce6/7 cards, and fans or other cooling devices.
