TopThis movie was the perfect blend of comedy and horror. Â I didn't care too much for the sequelsthough. Â They were ok, but nothing could match the original. Â Wes Craven's creativity was what made it a hit.

Topjus another desperate attempt from wes craven to scare people which he completety failed. This movie is just a basic film that anyone can predict everything in the film from the begging to the end and the acting is bad.

TopI had heard this was a comedy,a friend told me on our way to see it,that it was a spoof of horror films,imiagine my surprise when drew barrymore gets gutted in the first scene.it thought it was kind of scary,but more than that it was funny in certain places,overall a good moive.best out of the 3 for sure

TopEveryone should admit it, this was one of the best thought out horror movies in ages. The whole idea of rules for horror movies was great. Any true horror fan already knew the rules, but to have the movie writers acknowledge those rules did exist was almost like a tribute to us. Not to mention the twists and turns and the elements of surprise they used in this one, the acting and cast were perfect. Matthew Lillard stole the show!!!!

TopThis was the first scary movie I had watched since Child's Play 2 when I was 11 (gave me nightmares for six years, that one! And I didn't even watch all of it!). It used to be my favourite movie of all time, but then I grew up and realized it was nothing but a teenybopper movie. It just isn't scary, but the acting is relatively good. Watch it if you're at a sleepover.

TopA movie that tries to capture the magic of horror movies "gory" years. I did not find it very good at all. Certainly not up to the high marks many seem to be giving it. It seemed like a typical horror movie in every possible way from the poor acting right down to the lack of suspense. Perhaps the cast of teen favorites made it a hit. It certainly wasn't a hit based on merit.

TopScream is one of the better teen movies I've seen. The opening scene with Drew Barrymore was brutal and the doogie door garage thing was pretty much brutal as well.

TopI don't like this movie. I wasn't really scared at all. I guess it's because I like what we call horror films, not let's watch fake blood and guts splatter everywhere. Too much blood, and too many characters for me.

TopIt's definetly a true cult B-movie classic.The beginning scared the hell out of me and Drew Barrymore was so convincing in her role. And then of course, We see her getting gutted to death. You feel so bad, You forget it's just a movie. It really makes you connect with the charatcers, You know.

TopA great film with a compelling storyline. However, this was much more of a thriller than a horror movie, as there were not actually many scary scenes, just surprising and suspenseful ones. Overall, an astounding story written by Kevin Williamson and great directing by Wes Craven.

TopOne of the better scary movies in that you really don't know who the killers is until the end. It could be anyone. Well acted, thoughtful, witty, a rebirth for the horror genre. Neither sequel comes even close to it. Reminds you of Halloween in that respect, a psychological thrill ride that denegrates into simple blood, guts and gore in it's sequels. Highly recommended!

TopI have had more fun FLY FISHING! the only good part of this movie was Randy but of course as in all crappy movies the best guy dies in the sequel(Which was a great thing for Randy). I may have liked it back in the day but that was before I started to understand what made a great movie. If you find this movie good try shakeing a pen in front of the computer screen you might have more fun. "I think you stabbed to deep man.."

TopI'm not a big fan of this sub-genre created by Hitchcock (This is, in no way an attack on Hitchcock, mind you) but along with it's sequel & Halloween, I can make a exception. Wes Craven has definately created something entertaining and, at the same time, very good. And yet, he wasn't done. He came out with a sequel that was alot better!

TopScream is the first really annoying horror film. The screaming in this film gets just so old, and you can't take it anymore. The costumes are extremly goofy and the actors overreact to everything on the set.

TopScream...what can I say. I loved it in 8th grade. I am a senior know and my likes have changed. It was an original concept and I liked it for that. It did have one good character that I could relate to. Randy. The horror movie geek. Yea I can relate to him but he is such a tiny sub character only a few movie patrons even cared about him. I cried my eyes out when I watched Scream 2. I watched Scream a couple times just for Randy. Scream is sleak and well shot. Fairly o.k. acted but not a horror movie. This is more of an action movie than anything else.If you want to be scared DON"T COME ANY CLOSER. If you wish to put your brain into cruise control and watch a tediouse time filler with a few whippdey doos in it COME RIGHT IN! OH YEAH!! I almost forgot this film is what brought about teeny bopper horror! Scream loses major points for that. Horror by Hilfiger...where is my gun?

TopScream is a good movire because it's a parody of horror movies. The movie is able to laugh at itself. It's cool how the audience does not know who the killer is until the very end. It was also the first teen horror flick in the 90's, so the plot is original. The only thing that is never explained is why the killer killed about six people when he only wanted to kill Sydney.

TopThis movie has set the standards for horror movies in the Nineties. The way that the movie uses comedy along with horror is a great blend of movie magic. Also, the blend of keeping the audience guessing until the end is now a classic mainstay in today's movies.
