Posted Jan 28, 2004 - Lillard and Shaloub are great in this movie. I'd say the story is alright and the movie fufilled its potential about as well as could be expected. Fairly gory and has a few scares. The language is a bit much given it wasn't really necessary. A surprisingly good movie that I would recommend.

Posted Apr 21, 2003 - I think this movie was just really interesting. kind of hard to understand and the images of the ghosts were actually scarier than the movie itself. As far as scariness goes, my 12 year old brother watched it and said it was wack, But I think that Monk,(Tony Shalhoub) was really great in such a different role than I'm used to seeing him in.

Posted Apr 1, 2003 - Surprisingly, this was not the worst movie that I've ever seen. "Dude, where's my car" is definitely worse, and I remain a big fan of Shannon Elizabeth. The ghosts are kind of creepy and weird, and the idea of a satan constructed house machine that is powered by the energy of captured spirits is actually kind of creative. That being said, the movie is ridiculous, and the acting pretty bad. Watch it on cable if you have absolutely nothing else to do - you will probably find that 13 ghosts is not a horrible movie.
