Posted Jun 11, 2004 - I love and awe Leslie Nielson films. Lieutenant Frank Drebin of Police Squad! is my hero. If I were an actor, I'd take his roles anyday. ... This is a great classic with an all-star cast, including O.J Simpson, Montalban, Presley, George Kennedy and baseball star Reggie Jackson. Too bad O.J.'s character didn't get enough scenes because he was almost killed there. ... But what I like about the film is that Frank Drebin makes all these quirky mistakes and he doesn't realize it. ... He keeps the microphone on during a meeting, goes to the restroom and the audience hears him doing his business; he runs over a doc worker with his car and a chalk line was printed on water; I like the part where he hits a post and his car airbag pops up like a balloon. As soon as he leaves his car, the car goes off by itself nearly running him over and he shoots at his car and asked the name of the driver. Wow! And of course he burned Vincent Ludwig's building, got out of the building window, touched a frightened woman's breast and ended up sucking on a concrete dill-dough. ... It made me laugh in stitches; I suggest that you buy this film.
