Much as in the contemporary dramas of Eugene O'Neill, the conversations are stilted, and Cary Grant is not at his best reciting his overly long bits of dialogue. James Stewart is better because speechifying roles are his trademark. Katherine Hepburn is great, but was she ever bad in a movie? Katherine Hepburn was perfect in the role of Tracy I heard when the play was written it was custom made for her. very good cast, with James Stewart, Cary Grant, has some very funny scenes. about a snobby socialite about to be married again. it is covered by the press and her ex husband cary grant is part of that. still holds up today. Hepburn was better and funnier in Bringing Up Baby and Woman of the Year. The ending seems kinda forced and predictable without much motivation.
