Posted Aug 17, 2007 - An overrated film that doesn't stand the test of time, because the dialogue is overly theatrical. Much as in the contemporary dramas of Eugene O'Neill, the conversations are stilted, and Cary Grant is not at his best reciting his overly long bits of dialogue. James Stewart is better because speechifying roles are his trademark. Katherine Hepburn is great, but was she ever bad in a movie? Not much chemistry here, though it's still a good chance to see three great talents at work.
