Strengths:

The animation of this movie is beautiful. The movement of the animals is perfect, the scenery is breathtaking, the story is moving.

Posted Oct 28, 2003 - When this movie appeared in theaters, I had no desire to see it. Last year, we borrowed a copy of it and I was captured by the look of this movie from the opening sequence till the end when the eagle took flight. The animation is some of the best I have seen in a LONG time and rivals that of Disney's best. This movie also takes the stallion's point of view, without the Disney-esque quality of talking animals. The only speaking done is by the human characters, with a small narration by Matt Damon. Another reviewer looked at this film as another anti-white Dreamworks propaganda film, but I feel that is false. This movie is from the horse's point of view and displayed life as it really played out. All in all an excellent film that I recommend for children and adults.

Posted 1 year ago - Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. A dreamworks picture I hated... until last year, i was bored looking up videos on You-tube. then i remembered that one movie called "Spirit" so i looked for it, and i found it. After that, i watched it, and i loved the movie ever since. You see i judged the movie with out even seeing it, i do that to many times. The animals don't speak in the film, but that is a major part of why i like the movie, it is different. Bryan Adams sings the songs, and the instrumental music is incredible, by Hans Zimmer. Matt Damon does well as the voice over of Spirit. The movie takes place in the old west. It took me a while to get this movie on dvd. Any people who has Horses as their fave animal should watch this film. I tried writing a sequel on fanfiction.net, but i said, i would just ruin the movie, because it is a good one.
