Strengths:

Matthew McCaunahey (SP) acts in this movie as the hero hunk.

Weaknesses:

cute movie but rushed in places hard to believe

Posted Sep 30, 2005 - This movie starts out strong and quick. Played by great actors. If you are looking for the book in this movie, you may be disappointed it does not elaborate on the book. The plot is believable. Bad man is knowingly poisining the towns folks and when the good guys uncover his scheme they also uncover treasure.

Strengths:

Uh, can't think of any- oh, the scenery is gorgeous.

Weaknesses:

The execution of the plot, the script, the depiction of the characters...etc, etc...

Posted Jun 2, 2006 - This movie is ridiculously far fetched even for Hollywood standards. The acting is so terrible that even my 12 year old daughter was rolling her eyes watching it. Those who read the book will be woefully disappointed.

Strengths:

Simply...the best...takes you out of the norm and throws you into a terrific DP adventure!

Weaknesses:

None :o)

Posted Nov 4, 2005 - Feel good, do good, perform good movie! Dirk Pitt fans won't be disappointed. Waiting for move 2 and 3 which are supposed to be coming soon. Steve Zahn and Matthew Mccaunaghy (spell it right?)...can't get any better!

Strengths:

loved the chemistry between Matthew McConaughey and Steve Zahn. they were the funniest pals I've seen in a long time. Hope they make another movie together!!!!

Weaknesses:

Absolutely none!!!!!

Posted 1 year ago - I really hope they make another movie together. the comraderie between them was hilarious to say the least. please let the powers that be in Hollywood put them together in another movie. I absolutely love Matthew McConaughey and Steve Zahn together!!!!!
