Posted Jun 12, 2006 - I am a 41 year old male that is thinking about buying the 60GB i pod. Since I don't know much about this my question is. Does all the music has to be down loaded from i tunes? Can I just put music from my CD collection in there? Please help.

Posted Apr 5, 2006 - I'm a professional photographer with a mountaintop wedding assignment coming up(I.E. no computer, no electricity). I'm contemplating buying a portable digital media storage device so that I may clear my compact flash cards in the field. Does the ipod work well for this? Apple only supplies a usb cable for camera to ipod and I hate to tie up the camera while saving files. How long does it take to transfer a 1 gig card this way? I found a card reader made by "Belkin" but I've read reviews which say it's very time consuming to transfer the data and the battery may die during the process. I know that there are several dedicated image storage devices (epson p-2000, digital wallet, etc) but I really like the idea of having an ipod for, ahem, other reasons. Any feedback provided on this issues will be greatly appreciated. Vickie
