With its anodized aluminum enclosure and rounded edges, iPod nano looks as dazzling as it feels. And it's sleeker than ever — 3.5 inches tall,1.6 inches wide, and just over quarter of an inch thin. Carry your favorite music everywhere — plus podcasts, audiobooks, photos, contacts, calendar, and files. Your album art, photos, and more gain even more brilliance thanks to a 1.5-inch color display that's 40% brighter than before. Play your music even longer between charges — up to a full day. 5 Star Review A welcome improvement from the 1st generation Nano

Strengths:

* Sturdy aluminum case * Brighter screen * Wider selection of memory capacities * Redesigned headphones

Weaknesses:

None

Posted Dec 3, 2006 - The 2nd generation iPod Nano addresses the main complain about its predecessor--the device casing is no longer made of a fragile plastic. The new aluminum shell seems to be sturdy enough to use the iPod as-is without additional protective case. The new Nano has a brighter screen and a wider selection of flash drives to better fit your needs and budget. Overall, while it may not be worth dumping a working Nano, the 2nd generation devices are a welcome upgrade of their predecessors.

5 Star Review AMAZING!!

Strengths:

1) Small 2) Easy-to-Use 3) 4G memory, in a very portable deisgn 4) The playlists are easy to make on the road, and can assemble in iTunes also 5) The extra price doesn't matter becaue of its quality

Weaknesses:

1) I'm afraid its going to break, but the thought is totally misfounded. The only way it would, would be if I were to try, or to be wicked careless. (i.e. throwing around, leaving on the floor , etc.)

Posted Dec 28, 2006 - 1) Small and Portable, the name really is appropriate! It is sooooo small, I can put it literally anywhere, I have carried mine EVERYWHERE for the past 3 days with the exception of the shower and bed. 2) Very high quality, there is almost nothing that I want to do on it that I can't! It has a calendar with alarms for reminding, holds photos, has sections for notes, can play games (which by the way are rather fun! :) I spent several hours after I got it doing so), gives excellent sound quality (even on the earbuds that come with it) 3) People say it scratches easily, but in reality it is very resistant to it! the idea comes more from the 1st generation which was very scratchable... Again, you would have to be careless or without common sense to scratch/damage it. I haven't had a case on it, and I've had it in my pocket for my jeans for 10-15 hours and it is still spotless, its also been in my car in 20-32 degree weather and it still sounds perfect. 4) I definitely reccomend it to ANYONE shopping for an mp3 player! Yes, it does cost 75$ more than the Sony Sansa, but from what I've heard its a much lower quality, their "click wheel" apparently is cheesy, its twice the thickness and weight, and I can't imagine it being any more user-friendly. There is really only one things to improve on it, supporting video, but then you have the 30G iPod video, for only $50 more. Apple has done an unbeatable job with their mp3 players.

3 Star Review Ipod Nano

Strengths:

not too many

Weaknesses:

Too expensive compared to other mp3 players, seems like it can break easily

Posted Dec 24, 2006 - I lost my old mp3 player and decided to get the new ipod nano. In my opinion, it is over-hyped, there is nothing special about it and the price is too expensive. I do like the metal casing and the green color but i'm afraid that it will break in my pocket because it's so thin. The headphones that come with it are garbage, I suggest that you replace them if you want the best sound. I would recommend taking a look at other players like the sandisk sansa which is a lot cheaper and has more features.

4 Star Review I just love the new green ipod nano!

Strengths:

fashion, bright screen, loud, great output sound! Long lasting battery.

Weaknesses:

screen too easy to damaged; control wheel too sensitive

Posted Oct 20, 2006 - I just fall in love with this green ipod nano when I first saw it from net! It's great to carry out and enjoy the music all day long! The earphone is better than my sennheiser MX400, I mean the output quality.

4 Star Review iPod Nano - 4Gb

Strengths:

Sleek design, Easy to Read Menu, Simple Controls

Weaknesses:

A Bit Expensive

Posted Dec 28, 2006 - I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 9 year old son. He was quite specific that only an iPod would do -- he didn't want a "generic" mp3 player. He is quite happy with it. This product introduced me to the world of Apple -- prior to that I was a Windows-only geek. You have to install the "iTunes" application in order to copy songs onto the iPod and it took me a bit longer than I expected to get comfortable with the environment -- but things are going smoothly now. My brother has been an iPod fan for years and it seems like a good choice for what it does. Still, if you have no burning desire for an "iPod", you should check some of the other, less expensive, options available for this type of device before you lay down $190.

5 Star Review ipod nano

Strengths:

easy to navigate, cool color, compact

Weaknesses:

difficult to upload if you don't use itunes, every add-on costs $ and adds up quickly.

Posted Jul 27, 2007 - Very reluctantly we bought this for our daughter for her 18th birthday and more reluctantly I can report we are thrilled with the purchase. I'll be honest: Our reluctance was because we are cheap! I have done everything possible to avoid spending top dollar on an ipod. Now I realize that we have been penny wise and pound foolish. Ahh, if we had only bought it in the beginning. This represents the fourth mp3 player that we have bought and is the first we have been happy with. All the others (except the Zen--more about that later) are a pain to navigate through but no such problems with ipod. Before if my husband loaded a podcast to listen to he had to advance song by song until he came to his podcast. Or if I felt like listening to the country music instead of hip hop, I had to painfully advance song by song. That's a lot of advancing with you have several hundred songs loaded! Another advantage of the ipod is that it does not have a hard drive like the Zen mp3. You cannot do motion activities like jogging with the Zen but no such limitations with the ipod. We're very happy with the ipod. Now we'll just have to spend another wad to buy all the accessories!

5 Star Review My New Toy

Strengths:

Size and Sleek design

Weaknesses:

More expensive and no orange in color like iPod shuttle

Posted Apr 14, 2007 - It took me some trial and error to figure out how to sync the iPod w/my PC. My problem was I connected it with my Belkin USB hub and apparently there wasn’t enough power to sync correctly. It sync all the songs the very first time but then I couldn’t remove any songs from the iPod. Finally, I installed iTune on my laptop and tried to sync there, it erased all the songs on the iPod since one iPod could only sync with one iTune at one time. I think the problem is related to the power level supplied by the USB port. Anyway, once this was resolved, this is really a sweet device.

5 Star Review Awesome iPod!!

Strengths:

Bright Screen

Weaknesses:

N/A

Posted Mar 21, 2007 - I like the green iPod because I like how you don't have to go to Music, Settings, Extras, etc. and you can just put it all on your Main Menu. I would highly recommend this for anybody that doesn't want to do much work on any electroinic device. Also, they are really cheap compered to an video iPod.
