Sansa Shaker MP3 Player

Strengths:

Very easy to use, kids love it, shake to change the songs is a neat feature, AAA battery instead of charging through computer, download songs to SD card from any computer

Weaknesses:

none so far

Posted Nov 21, 2007 - We got these for out six and seven year old daughters and they love them! They say the shaker changing the songs is really cool and they like that they can use earphones or listen out of the built in speaker at the top. We like the ease of downloading music to the SD card and not having to use the computer to charge the players (they use one AAA battery. If you are looking for a really good music player for your kids or even yourself, this is the one.

Sansa shaker

Strengths:

kid freindly

some songs hard to download

Posted Feb 4, 2008 - This is a kid friendly mp3 player. Daughter enjoys headphones or just using speakers. It was a little difficult to download music on. It is great for my girl. My little boy wants one now too.

Our Daughter's First MP3 player

Strengths:

Sturdy, good sound, expandable memory, easy to use

Weaknesses:

A bit difficult to remove and put back on lid for battery, cable, and expansion card slot. No screen so you can see what's playing. Cable jack could be more accessible.

Posted Jan 10, 2008 - My nine year old has been asking for an MP3 player since her older sister got a Zen Nano. This seemed a good compromise as it was sturdier and less complex than the Zen Nano. This works fine with good sound, and she loves it.

MP3 Player for the kids

Strengths:

Small and very light Lots of storage for music

Weaknesses:

Not sure on sturdiness if dropped

Posted Dec 17, 2007 - Bought two of these for our kids, since both love to dance to music. The device comes with a sd card that holds tons of music. Our son is only 2 years old and can hold on to the device and loves to shake it to listen to music. The batteries have held out for nearly 1 week so that impressed my wife and I since batteries are used so much around here. So far (knock on wood) we haven't hand anyone "throw" the device against the wall so I'm not sure how sturdy this thing can be.
