Strengths: Small size, intuitive learing-didn't need to read the directions for 95% of the operations, lots of storage, not an Ipod, can use WMA, WAV and MP3's. Can be used for fiel transfers, good battery life.
Weaknesses: Text could be clearer on the screen, touch sensitivity, while adjustable to a low setting is still very sensitive, charger cord & transformeris bulky. The CD software locked up my PC 3X.
Creative is not clear what features are in the unit. I thought the unit came with a FM radio as the Zen Micro does. Their website lists general features and then “additional features”. The additional features are listed as FM "FM radio, voice and FM recording via optional wired remote control (available separately)" The packaging box is just as confusing.
Go to any website that sells this model # 70pf131000010 and it will say things like:
General Features: Backlit LCD Display, Upgradable Firmware
Additional Features: Equalizer, FM Tuner, Radio Recorder, Voice Recorder
Or
FM radio, voice and FM recording via optional wired remote control (available separately)
HOWEVER, read the description again for what the additional features are. If you think the “remote” is an optional cost item you are correct. However if you think this unit has an FM radio, voice recording or radio recording ability you are mistaken.
