Strengths:1. Ease of use; both the device and the software. 2. Excellent sound quality. 3. Set up/installation was a breeze. 4. Device is loaded with extras!
Weaknesses:Touch pad was a bit...uh...touchy, but the sensitivity CAN BE ADJUSTED. I adjusted it, so this turned out to be a non-issue for me.
Posted Jan 19, 2006 - I have a *lot* of CD's, and I'm fairly new to the world of MP3 players. I thought the purchase of an MP3 player would be a great alternative to my hauling around my CD's when I wanted to listen to music, (in my car, at a party, etc.). After I researched MP3 players for about 2 weeks on the internet, (learning about them and sound formats, what type of players were available, etc.), I started comparing the different players, (iPod, Sansa, Toshiba, iRiver, Rio and Creative). I compared price, extras, online "tech" magazine write-ups and recommendations, and purchaser comments. Creative, in my opinion, won hands down! I was torn between purchasing Creative's Zen Micro or Zen Touch. After deciding I *really* didn't need the 20 to 40GB of storage the Zen Touch had, I chose the Micro, (with its 6GB's). I'm so glad I did!
I received my Zen Micro 6GB player yesterday and, within an hour after opening the box, I was loading the device with music from my CD's. Now, I'm not a computer wiz, (I'm self taught). I had NO PROBLEM installing the software that came with the player, nor did I have a problem using the software to load my player. It is so VERY USER FRIENDLY! And... if you know how to access files on your computer, you will have no problem working the menu on the Zen. It is logical and easy to understand.
Do yourself a favor... stop shopping - buy the Zen Micro! You won't be sorry.
