Weakness: Automatically encrypts music as you put it on the drive.Confusing at first, but once we got the hang of it, it's awesome.
I love it, I think I may buy my Daughter one for her birthday. Who needs IPod, Gigabeat does everything I want for a great price. I'm 49, and my son had to help get me started, but now I'm zipping through it all on my own.

This is my third MP3 Player( I own iriver, creative touch), it is best one! most beautiful looking!
photo-friendly color screens, the latest large-capacity players are undeniably cool. Plus, their big hard drives let you carry a big music collection around with you when you're away from your stereo and CDs. Easy to function!
Best of all, price is low compare to apple ipod, about $50-100 cheaper than ipod at 10G-20G player. The device's beautiful screen is easily the best here for viewing photos.

Weakness: not many compatible accessories
I bought this for my 15 y/o son for Christmas. He wanted an IPOD, but I opted for the Toshiba based on price and reviews...it is very durable and it couldn't have been a better choice!

TopStrengths: I love the color screen and the easy touch navigation.
Weakness: I am not real interested in the gigbeat room. I use Napster and it is much more easier. The gigbeat should come some with accessories and/or have multiple of options like the Ipod.
Great MP3 to have and use. It is very good with downloading photos and music. I like the setup menu with a clear screen and choices. I would buy this product again!

Toshiba 10GB Mp3 Player

WOW!! This is my first MP3 player and I did some research on them and I love it.
First of all, I love the price I got it for. I don't think you can get any better quality for 189 dollars. Second, it is very nice in size and the first thing you notice when you open the box is the nice, large, full color, crystal clear screen. I cannot begin to tell you how surprised I was at the look and the feel of the buttons and menus on it. Since this is my first mp3 player I bought I had a little trouble figuring out how to work it but after a few trial and errors I did. I even learned how to use the Gigabeat Room to download files from my computer and copy from CD's.
One other cool thing about this mp3 player is that it holds your pictures and the album covers. Every time you play a song that is from a specific album it shows that cover. You can also do slideshows with your pictures.
Currently, I only have about 1000 songs downloaded from either my pc or cd's I had but it will take time to download from those. So if you have a large collection be prepared to sit by the computer for a while. I also love the cradle that comes with the player. It is easy to use and it recharges your player as you install music on it.
There are only good things to say about this player.
Probably the only difficulty I had with it is to figure out the manual and their download software as well as how it arranges some music files but I am still learning.
