Our supreme expert reaches speeds of 16x in playing your DVDs. If you want to play CDs, it can reach speeds of 48x. And it is equally impressive in burning optical storage media as well: It writes DVD+R and DVD-R formats at speeds up to 16x, DVD+RW at speeds up to 8x and DVD-RW at speeds up to 6x. Discussion of NEC ND-3550A Dual Layer DVD±RW Writer - Black

Posted Mar 20, 2006 - I burn DVD's of videos that I create for customers of their events. I have experienced problems with other burners because many of the DVD's produced on them skip or have problems when my customers play them on their DVD players. It doesn't seem to matter whether they are + or - discs or what brand the discs are. I can never depend that the disc will play. Any ideas if this burner will eliminate the problem? Is there a media brand that works best with this burner to play on a variety of players?
