Posted Dec 14, 2005 - I bought my first Lite On burner last year for my home computer and couldn't be happier. This drive was purchased to replace another brand at work. I read a few reviews on other sites from people stating that it's loud or vibrates, not so. It's probably the cheap case they put the drives in. I put one in a Thermaltake tower at home, another in a Antec mid tower and this one in a Sony desktop at work, and I have no vibration and can barely hear them under the case fan noise. If you are building a new computer or replacing an older drive, this is the one you want.

Excellent price, fast burning, especially of rewritable CDs.

Posted Dec 13, 2005 - Although they don't have the name recognition of Sony or Plextor, Lite-On makes high-quality, reliable CD drives. I have been using the brand with no problems for almost four years. The 5239S is no exception to this excellent history. It installed with no problems, and it reads and writes quickly. As an added bonus, the drive comes with Nero Express 6. Highly recommended!

CD-RW

Posted Dec 29, 2005 - This is the fastest CD-RW drive on the market. If you're looking for a drive that is fast and will get the job done, this is it. It is also relatively inexpensive to purchase a drive like this so I would recommend it.

Great Value

Posted Dec 15, 2005 - My old CD burner quit reading CDs, so when I needed to re-install the operating system, I needed a reader. After searching PriceGrabber, I decided to go with the burner. Got the OEM version from ZipZoomFly (delivered just as promised). Two days use so far; got the operating system installed (along with the other programs) and burned a couple of CDs to check it. Worked great. OEM came with four mounting screws, a digital wire to connect the burner to the sound card for directly playing CDs, and OEM NERO software.

Posted Oct 5, 2005 - I could not be happier with this drive. I like to keep at least 1 CD/RW drive in my computer rather than all DVD/CD drives as I find they do a better job on CD's
