5 Star Review Wp 100

Strengths:

Compact. Much better design than previous models. Less vibration and water spill than older models.

Weaknesses:

Cord could be longer, but ok.

Posted May 31, 2007 - I am impressed with the redesign. I highly recommend this system dental care. My wife has had gum problems for years and the WaterPik's have kept surgery at bay. This model it much better than previous models.

4 Star Review Good alternative or complement to flossing

Strengths:

Easier than flossing, works better than flossing in most cases if instructions are properly followed, a must-have for someone with braces, leaves a refreshing sensation.

Weaknesses:

Messy (you will end up with water everywhere), Low-capacity reservoir that must be emptied after every use if you don't want it to leak, tongue cleaner tip doesn't work as well as a regular toothbrush

Posted Sep 17, 2007 - Flossing alone wasn't cutting it for me so I purchased the Waterpik and I wished I had bought it sooner. Even after flossing, the waterpik was able to get out additional gunk. It works great and was easy to use. Comes with 3 standard jet tips, 3 tongue cleaner tips, 1 pik pocket tip, and 1 orthodontic tip. Contrary to what the instruction booklet said it did not contain a toothbrush tip attachment. It's a bit noisy but I hear it is quieter than the older models. I wish instead of a pause button (that you have to keep holding down for it to work) on the handle, there was an on/off button. I'm using filtered water to extend the life of the unit.

3 Star Review WaterPik Ultra Dental Water Jet, Model 100

Strengths:

Attractive Packaging, Numerous jet tips, Cover Storage

Weaknesses:

Pressure, handle

Posted Aug 18, 2007 - I have used several waterpiks over the years. This model is the most attractive of the lot. Functionally it performs like the others. It is dressed-up and has many additional jet tips. Many of the other models of WaterPiks only offer 1-2 tips. The tip release is located on handle in a location that interferes with usage. The pivot feature is not a easy to use and sometimes binds. My last nit involves a reduction of water pressure from the unit. Even on the highest setting, the unit output pressure is less than my unit from 5 years ago.

3 Star Review WaterPik WP-100

Strengths:

Value, unique idea in teeth cleaning.

Weaknesses:

water tank is small, water leaking

Posted May 20, 2007 - Have just tried this machine. The package comes with sufficient tips and they are useful. Operation is easy. It works as it should. The water tank is small and water storage goes fast, it will run 1-2 min without refill. The pressure degrees don't make much difference. And it looks like some water leaks from where the tip connects the handle.

5 Star Review The best dental product for home use

Strengths:

excelent cleaning, massaging, the huge teeth health improvement

Weaknesses:

water splashing if handled not properly, water button stuck sometimes, still need to floss time to time

Posted 1 year ago - This is the best spending of money on dental care product I have ever made. Whole family can use it, just don't forget to adjust water pump settings (comfort level is happen to be different for my family members). First time it was messy (a lot of water spill/splash on counter), but eventually we figured out how to use it. Dentist told my wife that she got surprising improvement. We are very happy.

5 Star Review Waterpik

Strengths:

Very easy to use, great design, I can feel my teeth being cleaned, easy to get those big chunks of food out

Weaknesses:

Sometimes I can't use it at night because I am afraid it will wake up people. It's a bit noisy

Posted Mar 31, 2008 - I like using it. I have used waterpiks in the past and none have really wowed me except this one. I find that this one is very sleek in design and it really gets the junk between my teeth out easily. I recommend this to everyone!

5 Star Review Waterpik Ultra WP-100

Strengths:

Very easy to use, nice design, works great

Weaknesses:

Noisy, sometimes not strong enough

Posted Mar 31, 2008 - This is my first waterpik and I think it is great to use. I am not a regular flosser but ever since I used this, I have used the waterpik almost everyday. It is very convenient. I like having this thing around.

4 Star Review It's not perfect, but does its job.

Strengths:

Easy to use, effective, enough water pressure to clean the teeth.

Weaknesses:

Not sturdy, water container not large enough, a little messy

Posted Feb 12, 2008 - My dentist recommended a WaterPik to me, so I bought one. The space among my teeth is relatively larger, so flossing itself is not thorough enough. This WaterPik provided enough water pressure to clean the residue from between the teeth. Two things they could have done better: the container is not large enough, so usually I need at least one refill before the cleaning is done. Second, the whole thing feels like cheap made, one of the plastic tips got broken the first time I used it.

5 Star Review By far the best Waterpik water jets WP-100

Strengths:

Compact size, sleek design, less vibration, and less noise.

Weaknesses:

The water jet power can be a little more, and the water tank is also kind of small.

Posted Jan 23, 2008 - I've had several waterpik products before. The old model is good too, but the size is bigger, and has more noise and vibration. The portable model was the worst. The battery normally died within a year, not a reliable product at all. This new waterpik WP-100 is the best among the old ones. The stylish product is the best compromised products which has a little bit less power and the smaller water tank, but give you the good look, more quiet, and compact size. I've been using it daily for about 3 months, so far so good. Sometimes you will need more than one tank to clean your teeth, but that's not a big deal to refill the water.

3 Star Review WaterPik Ultra Dental Water Jet

Strengths:

Compared to other units, this unit is neatly organized and contained.

Weaknesses:

It is very noisy.

Posted Aug 2, 2007 - I chose this unit because I liked how it was neatly contained and was willing to spend a little more for that. I am still very surprised how noisy these units are. I owned a waterpik over twenty years ago and the noise level hasn't improved in the last twenty years.

4 Star Review A nice product

Strengths:

clean very thoroughly, strong water jet

Weaknesses:

easy to leak from the connector

Posted May 15, 2007 - The connector needs some improvement. My previous WaterPik started to leak water about the connector after 3 months of use. however, overall it is a great product to clean the space between teeth.

5 Star Review Good product with a decent price-WP-100

Strengths:

It is comopact with good design. It really clean the teeth and gum. Also the vibration is reduced compared with older ones.

Weaknesses:

The tank is a little bit small. Needs to refill for a complete clean.

Posted Jun 2, 2007 - My family and I are satisfied with this product. I will recommend to my friends. The water pressure is high enough and the jet feels great. However, if the tank can be bigger, it will be perfect. It really removes the food debris between the teeth and between the teeth and the gum.

1 Star Review very poor quality

Strengths:

not known

Weaknesses:

every parts may break down within 3 months

Posted Dec 13, 2007 - I was conceived by the reviews made by others and purchased this unit twice. The first only last 7 days with no excessive use (nozzle refuses to eject water). Thought that I was an unlucky user, I return the unit to Walmart and got a replacement. This time it last 29 days (handle starts leaking and causes losing all pressure). Won

1 Star Review Water Pik

Strengths:

Helps clean especially if you have any pockets below your gums from Peridontal problems,

Weaknesses:

Crappy quality.

Posted Apr 15, 2008 - I've been through a dozen or more of these appliances. They all break after no time at all. (last one lasted 3 mos). They either leak onto the sink or leak around the nozzle so you get soaked using them or the nozzle holder breaks & won't work at all or they stop up & won't spray water at all. You'd think Water Pik would get tired of replacing broken appliances for free and hire an engineer that knows something about design. If I didn't have Peridontal gum problems, I would never buy this product. However, I'm stuck with it because i have to have the extra cleaning. This is a piece of junk. That's my 2 cents.

2 Star Review WP100W

Strengths:

Good tongue cleaner

Weaknesses:

Ineffective and messy.

Posted Sep 29, 2007 - I bought this thinking that it would be an improvement over my rubber dental pick; however, I found that the inexpensive dental pick was much more effective at removing under-the-gumline plaque. Unless you have braces I don't see any advantage of the water pick compared to a conventional rubber-tipped pick. The water reservoir was a bit on the small side. Water splashes everywhere so you need to hold your face very close to the sink (unless you can direct the water jet with your mouth closed). I don't know if more experience would have resulted in a better cleaning. Maybe I wasn't using this thing effectively as I only used it for a couple weeks before returning it.
