Strengths: Quick install, comes with an USB cable at no cost.

Weaknesses: Poor documentation. Hard to get the USB cable to be seen properly. Not all applications moved over work and will need to be re-loaded.

The quick start guide does not give you any info on the use and installation of the USB cable. I finally got the new computer to see the cable but never the old one. I finally used an old Laplink parrallel cable I had. The process errored out during the first run and completed when re-started. Over-all this took about 12 hours. Data came over well, and after going through an install process a few applications came up. I have several work related apps that will need to be reloaded. For the amount of time I will spend setting this up and waiting for the transfer, I could have just saved my data to a CD and re-installed all my apps. The rebate advertised did not mention having to own other Laplink products but seems to be a requirement on the form.
