Not all photo papers are created equal

Strengths: Sharp, crisp, pictures, even with generic ink

Weakness: Cost

Not all photo papers are created equal. Nor are photo printers. Nor their ink.

And its important to marry the right combination together, so you will need to verify your own results. (As the EPA says, "your actual mileage may vary")

None-the-less, I strongly recommend you consider Kodak photopaper. We're using a Canon i640d printer and generic ink, and we had picked up some Kodak photo paper on sale. Sharp, crisp prints.

Then Fuji went on sale. Great price, but with this printer and ink combination, dissappointing results, including running and smearing of ink.

Needless to say, we immediately switched back to Kodak. I'm not always thrilled with the price, but the results can't be beat.

As I said, you will need to perform your own tests, but Kodak paper is well worth considering

kodak makes the best photo paper

Strengths: perfect prints

Weakness: somewhat expensive

I haven't used Kodak's Ultima photo paper, but the premium ones should be good enough for most users. The photographs printed with my epson r320 are great. The colors are vibrant and clear. Don't know about fading, since I haven't use it for long. It's kind of expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Kodak 8.5"x11" Premium Inkjet Photo Paper - 50 Sheets

Strengths: evenly glossy, thick enough for printer. Better than HP.

Weakness: None till now.

The quality is good, it is thick, evenly glossy, shows color very well and is not too thick to present any problems in the printer. Quality of paper plays a big role in the quality of photo prints and Kodak is the best of all. Will buy again and again.

Kodak 8.5"x11" Premium Inkjet Photo Paper - 50 Sheets

Strengths: Excellant quality

Weakness: None

This paper is of superior quality. It is very heavy and holds it's form well. although I am not a paper critic, I have used other brands with less than positive results. The weight is 59 lbs. and is very stable. I am using a Nikon 5700 digital camera which itself tells part of the story. The paper may cost a couple bucks more, but is definately worth it. If the pictures are good, the printing will be.

Satisfied quality and resonable price

Strengths: The price is reasonable, the drying time is great, and the quality of printing is satisfied.

Weakness: Comparing with Epson's premium glossy photo paper, Canon's photo paper plus glossy, and Konica's premium inkjet photo paper, the printing result is a little dull.

I’ve bought this product for several weeks and used it for printing posters. I would recommend this paper for you because it has good price and its performance is as great as the other brand's premium glossy photo products I've ever used. Moreover, Kodak offers free photo software for this product and printer setting information on its website. I believe this paper would be a great choice of letter size photo product.

Beautiful Results!

Strengths: Stunning, lab-quality photos!

Weakness: None

Combined with my new Canon Pixma MP830, this paper reproduced photos perfectly. I made prints up to the full 8.5x11 and they were gorgious--even photos taken on an older 3MP camera turned out great!

Great Paper!

Strengths: Quality!

Weakness: None

I have bought this paper twice now and it is a good heavy stock with a high brightness and nice photo quality glossy surface. They have made improvements since the last time I purchased it. The package says "...New, sharper brighter colors".

Kodak Picture Paper

Strengths: Clear picture

Weakness: none

I have used this paper for awhile now and keeping going back to purchasing Kodak paper. In the past when using a film camera I always had photos printed on Kodak paper and was always satisfied. Why switch?

Good quality paper at a reasonable price

Strengths: Sharp image and reasonable price

Weakness: Color a bit dull; can see borders of objects on print when view at an angle

In general, this paper gives an acceptable print although the color is on the dull side. I printed a digital image using the same printer( Canon ip4000 )on Canon's photo paper pro and Kodak's premium paper. The Kodak paper gave a slightly sharper image on the details but the Canon paper gave brighter color. In addition, the Canon paper yielded a unform printed surface which showed no borders/contours of the objects within the print. I cannot say the same for the Kodak paper. Canon paper pro has higher gloss but its price per page is much higher than the Kodak premium paper.

Great Photo's!

Strengths: Crisp color, great pictures, time & time again.

Weakness: A bit pricy, but well worth it.

I've used several brands of photo paper with my Canon A630 digital camera. I have found that the Kodak paper is heads and shoulders above the rest. I've printed on 8.5 x 11 Kodak paper and the prints looked like they were professionally done. If you shop around, some stores have great sales on all Kodak paper sizes. Stock up,I do!
