Strengths:

Excellent built-in connectivity. Good feature set. Good price relative to competing models.

Weaknesses:

Comes loaded w/ awkward HP menu software. Requires manual OS upgrade from HP to get latest version of certain Microsoft software.

Posted Mar 25, 2005 - Price paid: $318 @ Sams Club Strengths: I really like the latest version of the Pocket PC operating system, and this unit handles all the general productivity programs very well. The only time I've managed to lock it up so far was while viewing a very large and graphics-heavy PDF file. Otherwise, performace is a non-issue for all but the most demanding applications (I've run into problems with echoing in a VoIP app, which might be due to the unit's processing speed). The fact that this handheld comes with wifi, bluetooth, and IR built-in leaves the SD upgrade slot open for a cheap memory upgrade. Right now, a 1 gig SD card goes for ~$80. The multimedia capabilities make this handheld an excellent mp3 player. With a big sd card, it has the storage capabilities of many stand-alone players. Battery life is excellent. With both radios off, I average about 6 hours of battery life. With wifi on, I get about 3. Weaknesses: I have very few complaints. The processor isn't as fast as the 600Mhz intel units, but faster processors generally mean a lower battery life as well. The USB sync / charge cable doesn't include a cradle. The 56meg built-in memory is a little thin w/out a separate memory card.

Strengths:

Bright, sharp, clear display. Works well and operates stably, does the job as it should. Bluetooth & wireless support.

Weaknesses:

Phone and e-mail support is poor. Only 90 day warranty. No sync cradle provided. Battery life could be better.

Posted Oct 31, 2004 - Don't bother with HP's phone or e-mail support, they don't understand their own product. I called about a problem importing contacts, and their best advice to me was to return the pda for a refund. After further research on my own, it turned out there was a simple solution they didn't even have a clue about. HP has a tech support forum on their site that is far superior to what you'll get from contacting HP by phone or e-mail. HP should offer at least a one year warranty, especially considering what you pay for the PDA. Overall, other than the issues noted above, this is a good product, and most buyers will be happy with it.

Strengths:

Great resolution. Nice and light.

Weaknesses:

Case that comes with the PDA is not that great.

Posted Jan 2, 2005 - This was a must have for me due to the wireless capability it had. I didn't need the Bluetooth (well, not yet at least). The screen was very clear and this was a small and light PDA. If what you are looking for is a PDA with minimal bells and whistles, yet fast, light, and nice looking, this is for you. This was one of the cheapest I found that used PocketPC and had 802.11b. A great buy!

Strengths:

light-weight; wi-fi & blue tooth built in; nice, clear screen; can use as a universal remote

Weaknesses:

wish it had more memory; warranty is only 90 days

Posted Nov 25, 2004 - Overall, a great handheld with a ton of features offered, so worth the cost. For the price paid though, it should come with a better case, an extra stylus, and a cradle.

Strengths:

Brilliant wireless connectivity, streaming is very good, stable operating system, good strong battery

Weaknesses:

Not as much memory as RX3715. No camera

Posted Jan 24, 2005 - This is one more top notch pocket pc from the masters. The WM2003SE works a lot better than my old H3800. The streaming is wonderful, you dont actually need songs/video on your PDA if you can get it from your computer. It works like a charm with my 802.11g network at home. The absense of camera is what gives it 95/100 and not a perfect 100. GREAT GADGET

Strengths:

Internet access easy to navigate compatible to most laptops and computers

Weaknesses:

loading takes forever have to reset the ipaq alot to get it started

Posted Mar 29, 2005 - i am fairly new to the pda world. i got this pda at a decent price. it's not the best one out there for the price that most stores are selling them at. you can access the internet, control your electronic devices and do simple little tasks with it. after a few weeks of playing with it, i think it would be a better choice to get the hp ipaq rx 3715. for a little more money you get a camera, dicking station and more memory. it beats paying the extra for those things.

4 Star Review Rich Features and Good Connectivity

Weaknesses:

Strengths:

Weaknesses:

memory

Posted Jun 25, 2005 - if i were you i would look for something better for the price that most retailers are offering them at. it does it's basic job but nothing more. you can connect to the internet via wireless b and to any bluetooth device. mainly it's being use to download email and keep contacts but nothing more. i would recommend spending your money on a better unit that offers more for the same buck or getting a little pricier unit that offers more. there's little memory so you would definitely have to get a larger sd card. it doesn't come with a cradle so you might want to consider cables running from your computer to the pda.

4 Star Review iPaq RX3115

Strengths:

Integrated 802.11b, Bluetooth, good battery life.

Weaknesses:

Small internal memory; hard to close applications

Posted Mar 28, 2006 - I had this PDA for more then 3 months and overall I am very satisfied with it. The only thing which is holding me back to give a 5 stars for this iPaq it's internal memory which at 56MB is kind of small by today standards, but this can be compensated if you buy an external SD/MMC card (1G is cheap these days). You can play movies, watch pictures, listen to music on it. I was very impressed by the sound quality of RX3115 which is even better then some old laptops! The WiFi is integrated so you can also wireless surf the web using the installed Microsoft IE (or you can install Mozilla Minimo if you wish). This iPaq comes with MS Windows Mobile 2003 which is convenient if you are a "Windows addict". I was also very pleased with battery life even with the 802.11b turned on (fully charged lasted ~3 days of light usage). Very good image quality and bright colors are also a big advantage of this PDA. Overall this is a very good PDA!
