Summary: This manual pencil sharpener is on the wall at my university. The knives are so sharp you think you have put your pencil into a little cave where professionalchefs are slicing away at your writing utensil! Wonderful.

a sharpener that WORKS!!

Strengths: sturdy assembly, razor sharp cutters, installs in several positions easily

Weaknesses: none

Summary: I've been very frustrated trying to sharpen pencils with my electric pencil sharpener. The pencil lead breaks before it is sharpened every time(and no,it's not dull blades). Alot of it has to do with the CHEAP pencils flooding the market (from guess where?)these days.

So, I decided to go back to a manual sharpener and this Xacto model KS has performed flawlessly even with the cheap pencils. It takes 2 or 3 turns and the pencils are razor sharp and NO MORE BROKEN LEADS!! I highly recommend this product. the item description lists an "extra cutter assembly" but did not receive one with my order nor is it listed in seller's description. Shoplet.com service was first rate.
