1 Star Review Boston School Pro is Really an Amateur

Strengths:

Sharpens a new pencil beautifully in 5 seconds. Blades are terrific

Weaknesses:

Motor wears out within 2 months (or less)sharpening 30 pencils a day, 5 days a week.

Posted Jan 17, 2007 - Don't advertize this product as a "School Pro" which implies it will last through many classroom pencils and is "heavy duty". Teachers can't afford to keep replacing these items. Mine "died" in less than two months even though monitored its use by only a few trusted students and myself. At this price, I would have to have $150-180 available every school year just to keep the pencils sharpened!

1 Star Review Exacto School Pro Pencil Sharpener

Strengths:

3 pencil size options. Strong motor.

Weaknesses:

Internal mechanism failed within 6 months.

Posted Oct 18, 2006 - I didn't allow my students to use this sharpener and yet with only 2 months actual use (3 months off in summer)it quit working. I was unable to find recourse on the manufacturer's warranty. This was very disappointing. $40 wasted.

1 Star Review Don't waste your classroom/personal money!

Strengths:

None.

Weaknesses:

Durability

Posted Jan 19, 2007 - This sharpener lasted a mere 3 weeks in my classroom with students only using wooden pencils (without a plastic covering). I'm so disappointed in the quality! We took very good care of it and still the motor gave out after 3 weeks.

1 Star Review NOT FOR CLASSROOM USE

Strengths:

Different pencil sizes

Weaknesses:

Blades dull quickly Motor Runs out Sharpener won't work without the shavings tray

Posted 2 months ago - I am a high school math teacher and my students need pencils. This sharpener was out of commission withing 6 weeks. A couple of my engineering students could get it working for me off and on; so I got another 6-8 weeks out of it. I am sorry I wasted the school's $50 on this product.
