Confirm Clearly, Refillable Pregnancy Test Reader, 1 ea

False Positive

Posted Sep 26, 2006 - I bought this product, along with a co-worker of mine. My co-worker has been tryig to get pregnant for over two years and I had just started trying again. Our cycles were almost the same, and we both were due for our periods within a couple days and we both used this product, and both got a positive. We ran around work in such excitment with my co-worker in tears at the thought that after 2 years she was finally pregnant. Then we went home from work, and she tried with a different brand got a negative and then got her period, two days later I also got my period. It took me 3 weeks!! to get the company to respond to my multiple complaints. I finally got one response to them wanting me to send them the sticks that we urinated on(after 3 weeks like we saved them) and they wanted to replace the product. I told them a refund would work and it's been almost 2 months with no word back from them. The product isn't reliable, and the company has no sense of how to treat it's customers. I would say this product is one of the worst out there and I'm telling everyone I know, including the store I bought it from, just how unreliable and what poor customer service it has!!!!!!!!

Refillable Test ... Great IDEA but bad in practice

Posted Oct 15, 2006 - I too have been the victim of several false positives at the hands of this test. I was so excited to see it on the shelf because I have wanted something like this for a while. I love the idea of a digital, refillable pregnancy test. Think about the money those of us trying to conceive could save through our child-bearing years if reliability wasn't an issue. I was so anxious to test this month that I tested four days prior to when I was due to start. After receiving a positive result last Sunday and Monday, I went to the doctor Wednesday for blood work testing. Once I started questioning the reliability of the test, I purchased a First Response test, which showed negative, and crossed my fingers that the blood work would prove the First Response test wrong ... TWO positives are stronger than ONE negative, right? If only. The blood work also came back negative (no big shock after seeing that DH, neutered dogs, and tap water have all showed positive by this test). Forteen months of trying and still not pregnant ... just false hopes that were abruptly interrupted by reality. I also sent a message to this company requesting my money back (not replacement tests, coupons, etc.) and a message to WalMart requesting that they pull this product from their shelves due to the number of false positives and the emotional roller coaster caused by this. Best wishes to all of you ... I hope those of you ttc receive a true positive in the near future, but I highly recommend that you refrain from purchasing this brand for your emotional well-being (whether you are ttc or hoping that you aren't pregnant) ... it is certain to be an emotional roller coaster. FALSE POSITIVE PROBLEM

Posted Sep 5, 2006 - This test is a mess. False positives are normally extremely rare, but apparently on this test, almost everyone who uses it has them. I have checked multiple sites with mommies to be and there are many reports of false positives and broken dreams. DON'T BUY THIS TEST!!! Heather

Several False Positives

Posted Oct 2, 2006 - I have used this product several times. I continued to get a positive result. I, like many have been trying to conceive with fertility issues. I was stunned and excited to get a positive, and called my Dr's office right away to schedule blood testing. Both tests came back with a 3 result...clearly not pregnant. I used a refill test the day my results came back...still positive. I wrote an email to the company, and it took almost a month to get back to me. It stated that the sensitivity of the test was 50. I tested yesterday for the heck of it...the day after my period ended..positive result. This company needs to get their act together. It's not right to play with women's emotions this way.

New Pregnancy Test

Posted Aug 6, 2006 - I have been suspecting I'm pregnant for two months now. I have tried several brands and had a blood test done. The blood test was inconclusive. I had one faint positive with early test kit. I had not had a period for two months so the doctor ruled it as not pregnant just a stalled period. Gave me progesteron to take. I did not as I felt pregnant. I bought this test reader and 3 refills and have been using every day. Today was my third test and it came up a blue positive! I'm so excited and glad to confirm something I already knew. I think this is a great product.

Manufacturer eventually gave me refund

Posted Jun 4, 2007 - 2 months aftter going through the roller coaster resulting from 6 false positive test results (and the associated Doc appointments and multiple blood tests to get to the truth), I received an email from the manufacturer offering a refund. They did not actually acknowledge their tests were faulty, but I was somewhat mollified to get my money back. Theirs was a spectacular failure -- they could write a book on how to blow a new product introduction: ill-conceived (ha!) tests, unsupported service centers, reactive media engagement (the very weakest position from which to stage a comeback fight).

It is a great idea...but crappy product

Posted Nov 14, 2006 - I took this test back at the beginning of August when it first came out. I had been trying since March, and to no avail. In August my period was 2 months late, and all HPTs came back negative. When I saw this product on the shelf, I was like hey what do you have to lose. I took it that night and with in a min I had a bright blue positive sign. I sobbed for an hour because FINALLY I was pregnant. I took two more that weekend, and the same POSITIVE. The blood test on Monday, however, was negative. I was heart broken. I took 2 more just to see if maybe I had a chemical pregnancy, and again positive. My husband took one as well, and it was positive for him too. The company stated they would send a refund as well, but they wanted the used sticks, and reader. Like I saved any of that. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

confirm clearly- false positive

Posted Sep 29, 2006 - I have been desperately trying to get pregnant for 4 years. I was so excited when I took the test and it was positive. I immediately called my doctor- scheduled an appointment and got a blood test done. In the meantime while waiting for the results from the blood test, I took 4 more tests- ALL positive. Then I read on-line that other women had experienced false positives with this brand. So I bought 3 other brands and tested them. ALL negative. Topday I had my appointment to go over my results with my doc- negative. Do yourselves all a favor and DO NOT buy this product.

False Positive

Posted Sep 28, 2006 - I have had false positives with this product 2 months in a row. I thought the first month was a chemical pregnancy. When I called the 800 number I was told I would get a refund. Not much comfort after trying for 2 years and finally thinking there's a chance. PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT.

False Positive

False Positives

Posted Sep 5, 2006 - Currently awaiting response from the manufacturer, but I will never trust this product again! This test is new on the market and obviously has some serious defects that need addressing before it can be 99.9% effective, as the box claims.
