4 Star Review Very nice HD TV for the price

Strengths:

-Great HD picture -Plenty of inputs

Weaknesses:

-Remote -No audio or video outputs

Posted Oct 24, 2006 - Norcent LT-3250 This is a great value at the current price for 32” LCD’s, although I wouldn’t be surprised if this size range is near the $500 mark by next year. The LT-3250 has a very high quality look and feel. The hi-def pictures are truly impressive from the Time Warner cable box (DVR) via the component inputs. This TV has 2 inputs of each variety (composite, s-video, component, HDMI) so there should not be any problem if you have numerous video components. I would have to say that the normal TV picture is of equal quality to the 32” Toshiba tube TV that it replaced. You can stretch the standard picture to widescreen and it doesn’t look too bad. Images from DVD’s look very good but I’m not sure they are any better then my tube TV. But the widescreen does provide a better look (I’m referring to the standard DVD, it will be a while before I would consider buying the Blu-ray or HD-DVD players). The size and weight of this TV makes it very maneuverable and is certainly a big benefit when compared to a 32” tube TV. My only complaint is the remote control that appears to be from a $50 DVD player. Any electronic gadget in this price range should have a quality remote. I just bought an MX-500 universal remote from Buy.com and it is a VERY nice alternative ($70). I would say that I am highly satisfied with my purchase. I like Buy.com but I cannot say they are perfect. They continually advertised this TV “in stock and usually ships in 1 to 2 days” but my order dragged out for several weeks and I sent a few emails before I got it. I love free shipping and would understand a 2 week delay except their ad is a bit deceiving. A similar situation occurred with a laptop I ordered and I finally had to cancel the order. However, I have had other smaller purchases and they arrived promptly.
