Strengths:Stunning PQ, Great Price, Great Controls & Tweakability, TONS of inputs.
Weaknesses:Subpar sound, not sure how useful "ultra filterbright" is.
Posted Jun 9, 2007 - Spent about a month searching for 42" plasmas and considered all the usual suspects (Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, LG, etc) before settling on the newly released 4264. Let me tell ya, while you probably couldn't go really wrong on most of the above-named brands, I am DEFINITELY happy with how my purchase has worked out thus far. The 4264 is an amazing bargain at the price and gives users a great set of picture controls and inputs which are generally only found on MUCH more expensive sets. The PQ is great, and the set is receiving solid reviews from users and experts alike.
As for negatives, I'm not at all impressed by the sound quality, although most plasma users have a surround system (I do not). That being said, it's not a huge deal. Also, the "Ultra Filterbright" technology, which is supposed to reduce glare a great deal, hasn't really "wowed" me at all. Seems to me that it really only serves to darken the picture.
All that being said, this TV is an awesome bargain at the price. There's no need to waste your money on higher priced sets just because they're from a "bigger name" company or because they're 1080p capable. This baby will WOW you from day 1!!
