50" Philips Plasma TV

Strengths:

Great picture Quality for the price.

Weaknesses:

Heavy

Posted May 15, 2008 - I bought the Philips 50" Plasma TV and am very happy with the picture quality. It is wall mountable. I have the TV mounted on the wall which saves a lot of room. It is a great TV for the price.

crap!

Strengths:

awesome when it works!

Weaknesses:

heavy, sound, goes out!

Posted 1 year ago - We had our philips plasma 50" for 13 months and has woeked completely fine untill one day it turns off and a little red light flashes 6 times. Now it wont come on at all. We have read online that many people have had the same issue. and guess what else Philips dosnt give a crap! its going to cost minimum $420.00! Brother in law also has the same TV and he says his sound goes off and on all the time. Dont waist your money!

50" Philips Plasma

Strengths:

Great TV for the price

Weaknesses:

A bit heavy and puts off some heat

Posted 1 year ago - All and all I'm very pleased with this television. I've only had it for a couple of days so I may add to the review if things change. This is my first plasma, so the heat that the TV produces may be normal for a plasma, I just know it's more than my LCD. The color scheme needed to be tweaked some out of the box but it is the perfect TV for the bedroom.
