Posted 1 year ago - Setup was very quick and easy. Open the enormous, easy open box, slide the box off the fully assembled TV and stand. Set the TV on the cabinet. Plug in HDMI connector and power. Turn it on. Looks great right out of the box. Setup time was about 10 minutes. We use this TV with Cablevision Optimum online. The picture from their very limited HD offerings is excellent. Good color saturation, excellent brightness. Viewing angle is very wide, so this TV works even in a smaller room. On this Toshiba, a good quality SD broadcast looks better than any other HDTV we looked at. Since SD content will be around for a long time, this is an important consideration. The 46RV530U has a broad array of picture and sound adjustments that are all easy to access from a single menu. It is not obvious what all of them are for, but there are reset options to bring it back to factory if you make a mistake. Our normal viewing distance is about 9 feet, and this set is a great size. I'm glad we did not settle for the 42" I would recommend this set to anyone looking for a moderately priced 46" HDTV.
