Posted Jul 6, 2002 - Obviously, the most important thing about a games console is the software it runs - in this respect, it's hard to beat the PlayStation. The PS2 may be getting the new games, but the range of PS software is very extensive, and much of it is now available at low prices. From a physical point of view, the machine is small, light and neat. It also has an (optional extra) LCD screen and car power adapter available so you can use it on the move. All in all, the only thing I don't like about this product is the removal of the serial link port, which only affects a few titles. However, this doesn't stop me from giving it 5 stars.

Posted Sep 17, 2001 - This console is a great buy especially for the price. You can play any original playstation games as well as CDs through your TV. Sony continues to come out with quality PS1 games despite the fact that the PS2 is out, and I recommend this to anyone who wants a great gaming experience but doesn't want to pay full price.

Posted Jun 1, 2003 - This product is one of the best video game consoles in the world. It might be old, but this thing works faster than the newer consoles we see today. Some games for like the ps2 cost like 50 bucks, nobody wants to pay that. Ps1 games cost like only 20 bucks. Do the math faster, cheaper, and compact unlike the other systems. If you're the cheap type this is the console for you.

Posted Jul 14, 2002 - sony playstation, the greatest 32-bit system to exist. Outlasted the saturn. Outlasted the 3d0. Outlasted the N64 which is graphically superior, yet is a cartridge based system outlasted the Dreamcast due to segas problems with financial management. What can I say? play on playstation!
