Posted Mar 1, 2002 - this is the best CD player that i have ever own. it has a magnesium die casting body that is stronger than plastic and even more stylish. the remote control is the best of its kind all the functions are on a 3 inch object that is as light as a piece of paper. i really don't find nothing bad about this particular CD player. the buttons on the unit are not bad at all they don't get on your way and since u have the remote control u have no reason y to use them. the size and weight of the unit is incredibly small and light. is as small almost as small as the case of a CD. and the long battery life is just incredibly long. i would recommend this CD player to everyone out there is small, has good qualities and the price is pretty cheap... and SONY i think that this is one of the many things u have come up with in a affordable price until model dej955 becomes available in the us and then ill probably change CD players but for now this is the best thank you...

Posted Feb 1, 2002 - When I saw this product, I instantly wanted to purchase it but the price made me think. Now that I have bought it I think it was well worth the money. Not only is it really small but it looks nice and functions well. It has never skipped on me and has excellent sound. Battery life is very long, I rarely have to recharge the batteries, and the included rechargable batteries are very convenient. The remote makes everything easy because it controls everything. Overall I think this is the best regular cd player out on the market and I highly recomend it.

5 Star ReviewThis product is the best I have seen on the market ...

Strengths:

Strong casing, classy design, lcd remote, long battery life, small design.

Weaknesses:

No display on unit, small buttons on unit.

Posted Nov 1, 2001 - This product is the best I have seen on the market in the Discman product line. Not only is it small, inredibly light, but it also has amazing battery life! What most people probably dont notice at first, is that not only is the lid made out of magnesium, but the whole entire body, which makes the player very strong. This was one of the reasons I bought it, because I am on the go, and I am constantly moving around. Another thing, two levels of antiskip. G-protection 1 and 2. Honestly, you couldnt make this thing skip if you tried. I was jogging for 10 minutes strait the other day, just to test it, and surprisingly, it didnt peep. Not to say it wont, but its just so good! Another feature? Well, I can go on and on. But I believe the more important ones is the battery life. My old discman had a measly 15 hours of life. This is the minimal on most I have seen. When I saw how much this one had, I jumped out of my socks. 80 hours of battery life! Of course thats with the two gum stick batteries and external double A's. Thats something sony doesnt make clear on the box cover. It really doesnt matter to me. It all sits snug in a carrying case so it doesnt bother me in the least. The thing that I love about this model is the size, its so small, its probably lighter than a tv remote. Its as light as a feather, I honestly cannot tell its in my pocket. Oh yes, the big feature, the remote. Not only does it come with a remote, but it has an LCD display on it. So go out and get it!
