rollingstone - (July 25, 2004) I have been a fan of Panasonic since my first cd player. The main reason is its style and sound quality. In portable audio market, Panasonic definitely beats sony. This one does not disappoint me either. It is full of features and any one of them works almost perfectly. Preset equalizers, full-function LCD remote, computer-like MP3 song navigation are very easy to use. I especially love its program feature and MP3 title display - for one CD, you can program your favorite songs into a list so that you can skip those you don't like; with ID3 tag support, you can choose to show title, singer, or name and it will be shown on your remote LCD.

goadzo - (June 22, 2004) I was mostly comparing the Sl-SX430 with the Sony DNE300 model since they are similar and around the same price, though the Panasonic is cheaper of the two. The Sony counterpart comes with software you don't need, and in reviews it has a tendency to distort the sound quality at higher volume settings, the Panasonic thus far has shown no distortion, and it switches between tracks just about as fast as it would a regular cd, which is a plus. Some people need a track search function. You can switch between albums on any given disc quickly, so if you store 10 or so songs on each album/folder, you should not have a problem. A little organization is useful, but the price is still a bar

asimovian - (June 07, 2004) I spent quite a bit of time in the week or so before I bought this product researching the main players in the MP3-CD field. While my favorite based on everything I'd read was the iRiver iMP-550, I decided that I could get everything I wanted out of a player for less than $100. The features that I sought the most were: 1) an AM/FM tuner 2) the ability to fast-forward through MP3s, which I found many of the lower-end players could not do; and, 3) a jog dial or other implement that made navigating through songs and folders fairly simple. I ended up narrowing my search to Sony and Panasonic products, and eventually went with Sony because I was curious about their ATRAC technology,

Three Cheers for Sony CD Walkman!
judybee - (11/18/2008) This Sony CD player is terrific; the stereo sound is great. No skips whatsoever, even with cd's that were burned on my computer. I went ahead and purchased the optional ac adapter; I was able to locate one online and it's a worthwhile accessory if you want to save on batteries. Be sure to utilize the SOUND/AVLS button; it greatly improves the playback quality. Overall a great cd player and a purchase I'd recommend!

sweetga34 - (09/22/2008) I purchased this CD player for my 2yr olds birthday. It sits up on a shelf and we use it only to play his "good night" music. I've had it for exactly 2 weeks and it no longer plays CDs. Instead it shows an error message. Company was not helpful in resolving this! In fact they suggested I go out and buy special products to try and make it work. Last thing I want to do is spend more money on this poor quality item!
Comparision2009 - (09/12/2008) I purchased this machine to make "Wow Cow" frozen dessert at home. It is so easy to make. I prepare enough mix for a week and keep it in the refrigerator until needed. I just pour in the mix and turn on the machine. It takes one hour to make 1.5 quarts. The machine is a little noisy, but I just moved it.
