Griffin Itrip (dock)
Extremely slick - comes in black & white, very easy to use, backlit screen, has a USB port for charging, choice between mono or stereo output and most importantly you can share your music with others
Uses the ipods battery faster than usual, might not fit through some cases and can not transmit below 88.1MHz
Posted Mar 19, 2007 - First of all the the itrip is a very attractive piece of kit. For once theres an ipod accessory that comes in black. It looks great plugged into my 30GB black ipod and it's design suits the minimalistic preferences of Apple. It plugs into the dock connector which you would think stops the ability to charge, but God save Griffin they included a USB port so you can charge it with any USB cable or in my case a phone charger. Yes it does suck the ipods battery, but its not really a major problem. Some people have commented that its hard to find a good frequency without static, but I've had no problems and have 95.5FM preset for the ipod in the car. The range is quite good as well, the better the radio the further you can move away. Placing it in the back seat of the car works and even getting out and going onto the pavement worked fine. I thought the controls were really good too, theres one dial that doubles as a button, you can use it to select the station and the stereo or mono output.
