Cute Little Video Player

Strengths:

The price I paid was amazing!

Weaknesses:

Resolution could be better (you can see the pixels)

Posted Apr 6, 2008 - The old saying holds true to this little gem: you get what you pay for. Although, I only find one weakness with this product - that the picture quality is only fair at best, for the price it is an amazing unit. It is SO MUCH BETTER then trying to watch videos direct from you iPod, but it also charges your iPod while you watch. For the price, it is definitely worth the money unless you want a superior picture.

Strengths:

large screen, good video and audio, can charge ipod

Weaknesses:

unit is thick and heavy, design problems

Posted Jan 20, 2008 - Video is good. Audio sounds okay. Battery life lasts about 5 hours. It's kind of thick and bulky, so not easily portable. When playing music, a graphical letter "M" is displayed, so could have screen burn problem if playing a lot of music with this. Things can get stuck in the speaker holes - poor design.

Posted Nov 26, 2007 - This portable video player for iPod video has a strong set of features. Your get to see your video on a 8.4 inch widescreen color LCD. Additionally one can extend the battery life of the iPod an additional 5 hours making this player ideal for viewing videos on long plane trips. The stereo speakers sound good. The player can also be used as an additional charger for your iPod.

Strengths:

nice sleek gloss black finish, great battery life, light weight, easy to use.

Weaknesses:

lack of features such as remote control, audio/video adjustments; the case is easy to get scratch up; a litte thick.

Posted Nov 20, 2007 - After all, this unit is worth to buy consider the extra 5 hours battery life to watch couple movies on a flight. Other places sell the ipod external extended battery alone for $60. This system is not the best but sure is a stealth for the price I paid.

Strengths:

Very light and portable. Easy to set up. Very nice little unit

Weaknesses:

None that I have found so far

Posted Nov 2, 2007 - Setup on this machine is very easy. I really like the screen size and the weight of the unit. I found that it plays pictures and music very well and am going to play a video this weekend. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who has a video ipod and who like to view pictures and stuff on a bigger screen than just the little ipod screen!

Strengths:

-Compact design. Not light nor to heavy. -Definitely increases video playback of ipod for enjoyablity -Great battery life -Ease of use on video adjustment controls

Weaknesses:

-Glossy black finish shows off to much finger prints/dust -No remote -Video quality is fair. -Stereo Speakers are not great. No bass/treble controls. -No travel case or car adapter

Posted Nov 1, 2007 - Recently purchased a memorex iflip ipod video player. I'm so far happy with my purchase and found the unit a great addition for my ipod. Even though this is not the best of breed ipod video players I found it sufficient to my needs and enjoy watching the videos from my ipod now since I don't have to squint any longer. The first thing that does stand out is the video quality. The video output is not that great. You see alot more of pixelation on the video that you are watching. I guess this is caused by the increasing of the ipod video to the screen. This really doesn't bother me as much as I'm still able to view and enjoy the movie that I'm watching. Your just not going to get that sharp dvd output quality you usually see from portable dvd players. The video control is easy to use but doesn't let you adjust the video enough to correct the pixelation if you wanted dvd quality output. The unit is not super heavy nor light. Even though unit is compact definitely can't carry unit in your back pocket but rather in a case or backpack. Battery life is good as I was able to watch 2 good lengthed 2hr+ ipod movies without recharging the unit. Would have been great if they included travel accessories with unit (case,car charger adapter). Overall, unit does it's job and increases the ipod video to a more enjoyable comfort level.
