Excellent quality for a nice price
1) Quality of sound 2) Compact, efficient design 3) Choice of power - AC or batteries 4) Can be used as an iPod recharging station 5) On-board storage for iPod and accessories
1) AC adapter has no place for on-board storage (very minor) 2) iPod display screen occasionally scrambles when in dock
Posted Nov 25, 2007 - This outfit is much nicer than I expected for the price. The design is elegant, compact and has everything I was looking for and more. First, the sound quality is even better than I thought it would be, based on my experience with other portables. Audiophiles would not find the sound to be top of the line, but it's quite fine for its price class. I love the fact that the whole system IS the sturdy case - no folding or wrapping it in something else, simply unzip and it's ready to go. I also love that there is secure storage inside the case for your iPod, the included remote, and built-in rechargeable Lithium batteries. I can't speak to the battery life, since I've never used it unpowered for as long as the 8 hours they claim. The unit ships with all kinds of cradle adapters for any iPod with a 30 PIN connector, as well as plug adapters for non-US. electricity. It also includes a stereo cable that will act as a line in for ANY device with a line out or earphone jack. The only thing I can think of that would make it even better would be a nook or cranny for storing the AC adapter along with everything else.
