5 Star Review Great Speakers!

Strengths:

Great sound, excellent remote, very portable.

Weaknesses:

Doesn't charge your iPod when running off of battery.

Posted Jan 18, 2008 - A very excellent speaker all around. It has very good sound for a speaker of it's size. It also has a unique remote that I often use that lets you navigate songs and menus. The remote makes this speaker even better. However on my iPod Touch the remote scrolls down two songs at a time on the menu, this issue did not happen on an iPod Nano 3rd generation.

5 Star Review Logitech Pur-Fi Anywhere

Strengths:

Very slim, and portable can take anywhere with you.

Weaknesses:

Nothing as of now.

Posted May 27, 2008 - An excellent buy for a portable speakers for my iphone and ipod. Can take to my room, or living room and play anywhere. Love the slim weight which doesn't bother me at all. And what can you say, it's a Logitech product.

5 Star Review Good quality portable speaker for Ipod

Strengths:

Nice piano finished style. Good sound quality. Light weight. Functional remote control. Solid carrying case.

Weaknesses:

Bass

Posted May 28, 2008 - I bought this speaker from Amazon for my IPod touch. Since I am using Logitech Z3 PC speaker, I am confident with the sound quality of Logitech's product. When I tried it at home it produced very good mid range sound. I also has a Bose Sounddock in my bedroom and only sound a little better on the stereo effect and heavier bass. For almost 10 times cheaper than the Bose, this speaker will be a good replacement for traveling or put in the bathroom. This speaker has good modern looking on the outside with black piano finish. It's long but will fit in my backpack. The Bose will have noise when the wifi of Ipod Touch is on, while I have not heard it from this speaker. All in all I am very happy with the purchase of this speaker and I highly recommend it.

5 Star Review Awesome Little Speakers!

Strengths:

Small Size, portable

Weaknesses:

Too many darn Ipod adapters

Posted May 29, 2008 - Needed a smallish pair of speakers for my desk at work. Had been pluggin my Ipod into my stereo with an RCA adapter, but was a pain having to bring the Ipod home everyday to recharge since it's dead after 8 hours. This little speaker setup fit the bill perfectly. Good sound, not great deep base, but surprisingly good for such small speakers. The portability wasn't an issue, since I leave it plugged in all the time, but nice bonus that I can take them on the road if I want. They even come with a very nice, solid carrying case. Didn't expect that at all.

5 Star Review Excellent product

Strengths:

good sound. carrying case. remote. recharheable battery

Weaknesses:

maybe price

Posted 1 year ago - It sounds better than most other similarly-sized iPod speaker systems. The rechargeable battery provides better than 8 hours of playing time and has a battery-life indicator. When it's plugged into the wall it can play music and recharge your iPod simultaneously. The wireless remote control also offers controls for the iPod menus so you can browse and select items remotely. Finally, both remote and speakers offer a button for "Stereo XL," which Logitech claims "dramatically widens the sound field." Th eprice is little high, but bottomline is it os worth the price.

5 Star Review Great!

Strengths:

Good Sound, Battery Life, Looks, Compatibility

Weaknesses:

None

Posted 1 year ago - Overall these speakers are amazing. After rebates I only paid $15 (which is far below MSRP). It plays from my Ipod, Sandisk E280 and Iphone just fine. Can play with 2 or 4 speakers and off battery or line in. They are very loud for their size and I was impressed with battery life.

5 Star Review Nice Portable Speakers for Apple iPods

Strengths:

Great sound, comes with an AC adapter, can be used with other MP3 devices

Weaknesses:

The size is somewhat large to be really portable

Posted 1 year ago - I have been using these speakers for just over a month, and I am very satisfied with them. They are the best portable speakers I have ever owned. The sound is great, and the bass is more than adequate. I also like the fact that the product came with an AC adapter and a remote control. It also can be used with other MP3 devices. The only complaint I may have with the product is the size and weight. It is somewhat large and heavy for a portable set of speakers.

5 Star Review Pure-Fi makes a GREAT travel companion

Strengths:

Size, built-in rechargeable batteries, remote

Weaknesses:

Not heavy on bass, but can adjust to some extent with iPod tone settings

Posted 1 year ago - The Pure-Fi has now made a couple of trips with me and I will have to say it has meet all my expectations. The size even with the included case are easy to pack and take up very little room. The sound is generous even thought the bass is lacking to some degree. The controls are easy to understand, although I did find the buttons on the unit itself somewhat hard to press. Hopefully they will free up over time and become easier to use. The remote is also a nice feature and I find I use it more than I really expected to. Overall a very nice portable sound system for the iPod.

5 Star Review Pure-Fi Anywhere Speakers for iPod

Strengths:

Look, portability, adapters, remote

Weaknesses:

PRICE, doesn't charge.

Posted 1 year ago - If found at a good price then these are some of the best portable speakers in looks and sound quality. I purchased this product at a low price (price mistake?) and i think i got a steal. The sound is very good for portable speakers though wish it had better bass. Also wish it would had been a little shorter. All the adapters to fit all your ipods are included. Don't hesitate to purchase this product if you are in need of portable speakers for your ipod(s).

4 Star Review Another wonder portable speakers from Logitech

Strengths:

Sound quality. Design.

Weaknesses:

None so far.

Posted Apr 17, 2008 - I bought this gadget for my ipod nano 1st gen. The speakers look gorgeous, not like the other cheap speakers for ipod. It sound quality is pure and clear. I can't ask more from such a small form factor. The built-in rechargeable battery can play music for about 10 hours. A remote control which is very handy is included in the box. The ability of charging your ipod is another plus. Also, the travel case is a good companion for you travel. Highly recommend!

4 Star Review Pure-Fi Anywhere Speakers for iPod

Strengths:

- good sound quality - get loud without too much distortion - works with iPhone/iPod touch (but see weaknesses) - battery is convenient - carry case is nice

Weaknesses:

- remote has wobbly buttons and feels kind of cheap - remote uses inconvenient/expensive button cell battery - playlist browsing bug for iPhones/iPod touch

Posted May 1, 2008 - The Pure-Fi Anywhere iPod speakers set is overall a very good product. The sound quality was better than expected as the drivers produce very balanced and colorful sounds. The 3" bass drivers are also pretty dynamic for their size and they do not distort too much when the volume is turned up. Obviously, the set has its limitations given its size, but for the price, the Pure-Fi Anywhere speakers are a great deal. The built-in battery makes the Pure-Fi Anyhwere very portable and a nice, solid carrying case is included. The power supply fits in the spot where your iPod is docked, so carrying this thing is very convenient. The Pure-Fi Anywhere also takes universal dock adapters so it can fit any iPod out there. The main problem I have with this is that there is a playlist browsing bug for iPhones and iPod touches. Everytime you press up or down on the remote, the playlist goes down two selections instead of one. A way to combat this is to select the song before the one you really want and just fast forward once OR click twice in one direction and once in the other direction really quickly to counteract the extra selection movement. It's not a dealbreaker for me, but it may be for some. Overall, great product, and for only $35 (on Amazon.com), I would definitely have no problem recommending it, even for iPhone/iPod touch owners.

4 Star Review These things rock.

Strengths:

Size, battery, price.

Weaknesses:

Bass

Posted May 20, 2008 - After researching Ipod speakers for a few months I was sold on the reviews the Altech Lansing speakers received and headed to Best Buy to purchase them. I brought my Ipod with me to test them out and was very disappointed. At low volume, the Altech speakers sounded great but when I cranked it up the sound was muffled and distorted. I looked toward the Bose but $399 was a tad more than I wanted to pay. I glanced at the Logitech Pure-Fi speakers and decided to test those, being Logitech has never let me down before. (My home theatre speakers and wireless speakers are Logitech). Once again...Logitech will ALWAYS have me as a spokesperson for them because these little speakers sound excellent! The sound is as clear as Bose and the Bass you get will shock you. Take your Ipod with you and test them out for yourself.

4 Star Review Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere Speakers for iPod

Strengths:

Great Size Nice Remote Handy Travel Case Charges Ipod

Weaknesses:

No Time Display Sound Not As Good As Bose..But than again those are costlier Perfect Look with Ipod (Black) Classic, but not so appealing with the Nanos (Blue)

Posted May 23, 2008 - This is the second Ipod Speaker system i bought. The first one was a Magnavox one which though had the same basic features in addition to a clock with alarm. However the quality of sound on these particular speakers is far more impressive. There was alot of mention about in Bass quality however i didn't find it to be of such great significance. The remote is very nice especially the fact that i can go to the menu and change the type of music i want to listen to from rock to hip-hop, etc., this is another feature not seen in the Magnavox dock. Another great feature is how the speakers also charge and can be used for about 5-7 hours without any electrical source, which is very handy during games, or picnics. For the price that i payed ($35.00) it was definitely worth it.

4 Star Review Good Lows for the size, and works with the iPhone

Strengths:

Has great lows for the size and mids are clear, nice rechargable battery, works with the iPhone!

Weaknesses:

Muggy highs

Posted May 24, 2008 - All around a good product for traveling from here to there where there is not always power available such as a poolside or a picnic. It is also thin which makes it nice and portable. The only thing that I don't like about it is the range of the high notes. Voices can sound a little distorted at times but the bass is incredible for the little size. But if you are looking for a system to carry from room to room and want really good sound, I reccomend the JBL On Stage or On Time. I personally own both and love them! But this is a nice little system.
