Strengths: Good value for the money. You get 3 features in one machine. Saves countertop space. Similar to the Japanese Zoijrushi line of products
Weakness: Buttons needs some getting use to but as with all products there is a learning curve.
What attracted to me was the color ( makes my kitchen - stainless steel and black ) and the 3-in-1 feature. Most often I cook rice but having the ability to cook boiled vegetables for my infant food was what got excited as I did not like the use of the microwave to make their meals.
So far it has worked great and has never failed. It is an overall good product and I can't complain.
I have been previously making rice using a microwave but it kind of like overcooks it unlike this unit. A special stay warm feature is excellent as I do only leave it in there and attend to it when I get done with the kids.
With my busy schedule, the slow cooker works to my advantage as I do not need to wait for the food to cook.
This is a must in every kitchen.

TopStrengths: I love multi function appliances but sometimes it's the case of jack of all trades and master of none. But a rice cooker is basically a steam cooker and now Krups has made it a slow cooker too!
Weakness: The buttons can feel a little cheap but they seem to work ok
Overall it's a great appliance for the price. The steamer basket is too shallow so it restricts you with what you can steam...nothing too tall or it gets stuck to the lid. Otherwise it's a handy appliance and quite nice looking too!

TopStrengths: Stainless steel, easy to clean, easy interface and even cooking of white, brown, wild and risotto rice types. Paid $57 after rebates and promo gift card.
Weakness: Cheap Plastic Handle and loud key beeps.
I recieved this cooker and immediately began cooking brown rice. My old cooker (korean) was not capable of cooking brown rice. The rice would not stick to the bottom of the pan like with the old cooker. This made evenly cooked brown rice in 40-45 minutes. The stainless steel exterior is attractive and the LED display is easy to read. The cooker comes with a steamer tray which is the reason it can be called 3 in 1. More cookers could brand thier products this way if they include a $3 steamer tray.
All in all probably a 4 out of 5 stars since there can be room for improvement with the cheap plastic handle and locking mechanism. Also the buttons are much to loud for no good reason.

TopStrengths: nice sleek look
Weakness: small function buttons
Got it yesterday,it was delivered a day ahead of schedule and I tried it right away, since rice is our main food at home , it works out OK, we could cook 10 cups of rice and its good for the whole day.I didn't realized that it comes with a slow cooker so its a plus,it saves us from buying one, and you can program the cook time too, Im so excited to use this function. The contemporary look of this rice cooker really matches our modern kitchen, we dont have to use our old one which has flowers on it.

TopStrengths: Three functions in one machine
Weakness: Shallow steamer basket
I received this machine as a gift. It looks great in stainless steel. It does all three advertised functions - cook rice, steam, and slow cook - adequately but is not as good as three separate specialized machines e.g. Zojirushi rice cooker, etc.

TopStrengths: Aesthetically pleasing to the eye; appliance doubles as a rice cooker and slow cooker; easy to operate function buttons
Weakness: Electric cord could be kept a little neater (preferrably not under the base)
Overall, cool stainless design and very user-friendly. I'm very happy with my Krups rice-cooker. Maybe one suggestion, the next model can have a retractable electric cord for easy stow-away.

TopI am confused about this product. The main reason I purchased it was for the 'slow cooker' function and don't really know how to follow recipes because there is no low/medium/high setting. When a recipe says, say cook for 8 hrs on low or 3 hrs on high, which do I follow? I have not really used this product because I don't know how to cook the meat. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Many thanks.

TopThis means that, If you'd like your food to cook all day (8 hrs.) you can set it to the low setting. If you don't have that much time and you'd like your food done sooner, use the high setting and it's ready in 3 hrs.
Krups Automatic Rice Cooker with Slow Cooker and...
Strengths: 3 appliances in 1 (rice cooker, steamer and slow cooker) 3 individual cooking buttons to choose
Weakness: Warming element is only on bottom. Panasonic "keep warm" element is on sides and bottom
This product is very economical since it performs 3 cooking functions (rice cooker, steamer and slow cooker).
I can start the cooking process and leave it for up to 10 hours (1 hour for cooking and 9 hours warming).
The design of the lid produces a fluffier rice product and moister slow cooking stews in a shorter period of time.

Thanks for your review, as I am trying to decide between an Oster at $28.00 at Macys, a Cuisinart SS, and a Breville. One of them has a reheat feature, too. I'm going to look into the Panasonic model. Any ideas, as I could not find it here.
