Well, my family can't live without rice. I used to own a farberware rice cooker, which cooked rice quickly. However, that one was not nonstick. So too hard to clean it up. This nonstick one makes it easier to clean. Also, the safe pressed cooker avoid steam going everywhere or making my kithen dirty. Also, it is easy to use, quick to cook and beautiful to look. I've been using rice cookers for 20 years. And this one is absolutly a good choice at affordable price. You should give a try. Believe me.

TopStrengths: Cooks nice fluffy rice, little burning at the bottom, retractable power cord, has rice paddle holder!
Weakness: Top internal lid cannot be removed for cleaning, steam cap needs to be removed and washed. Steamer rack not useful.
Good value for money rice cooker compared to the other Zojirushi models, especially if you cook rice daily.
The internal pot has thicker non-stick coatings than some other cookers, and is easily washed. It does not burn the rice at the bottom as badly as the cheaper Rival and Black & Decker models.
The steam cap regulates the escaping steam, making the rice fluffy and not dried out. This cooker does not spurt while cooking, unlike the others.
Some minor gripes are that the top internal lid cannot be removed for washing, and needs to be wiped. Also, the steamer rack is to be placed at the bottom of the cooker, so rice and steamed food cannot be cooked at the same time, only one or the other. Otherwise, I'm quite satisfied and it is a good rice cooker to buy.

This is a very easy to use rice cooker. Let's see how long the coating can last.
I would buy Panasonic again unless I knew of some other machine that worked better.

Panasonic rice cooker
Strengths: retractable power cord, fast cooking, nice design.
Weakness: Top domed lid needs to be wiped out; steamer cap needs to be washed. Stream rack is not handy.
It is a great buy. It makes much better rice compared to other brands i used before (not including Zojirushi). The inside nonstick coating is thicker and much better than cheap models such as rival. There is only little, little burning at the bottom.
