This company uses a bait and switch method. Their prices are great, but you recieve an email telling you, "We are required to speak to you in order to verify your billing information". When you call, they put on high pressure to sell you warranty, better battery, etc. We declined, and after much arguement (we already have an item just like it and were buying this for our daughter, so we knew the factory battery was fine), they said it was already packaged up and would ship it. The next day, we got an email telling us the item was "currently unavailable" and to call their sales office. We did, and they told us they did not know when they would have more... we cancelled our order! Apparently, they don't want your business unless you spend more money on their unnecessary warranty and batteries. I will never buy from them again. |

Called a number of times to get the status of an order I placed and was told that it was on backorder for 3 to 4 weeks. OK no problem but your web site says it's in stock? Well sorry sir I have no control over that. Call back 4 weeks later, sir sorry your item is on backoder and will be 6 to 8 weeks, but your web site says it's in stock, well sir that's a different deptment I can't help that. WTFO! WORST ONLINE MERCHANT I'VE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH!! Ended up having to cancel my order. |

Prestige Camera is a bait and switcher- Ordered 2 Canon Powershot Sx10is cameras for $285 each. They wanted to charge me $328+/- for a camera with US warrenty. The description didn't state that the offered price is a gray market product. Will not do business with a company with deceptive practices such as this. |

Beware this is a bait and switch shop! I ordered a Sony DSC-W170 camera from the Prestige Camera web site for the advertized price of $195. I received an email from them asking me to call and confirm the order. The person who took my call attempted to sell me additional accessories, none of which I was interested in. After he went through the list of accessories, he informed me that the camera was an import model in Japanese and that I could have the English version for another $29. I informed him that there was no indication of that on the web site and that I was looking at the web site as we were talking and the price was $195 with no indication of any language restriction. He insisted that was the price for the foreign version. I would not recommend doing business with this company. |

When we were called today to confirm our on line order the price had doubled due to the company adding extended batteries we did not ask for. When we tried to find out what the reason for adding this without our acknowledgment we were hung up on. When we called back to cancel the order the man we spoke with told us the camera came with a short life battery so we said that is all we wanted. He didn't seem to understand that and kept trying to make us take the longer life batteries. We finally canceled the order completely. Thanks for ruining our Christmas! |

AVOID THIS MERCHANT-PERIOD! Classic bait+Switch. I ordered LCD-TV but PrestigeCamera called next day to "confirm billing info".Agent verified my name/address then pressured me to buy warranty for $180/yr (outragous). When I declined, he insisted Samsung does not provide a stand in box and to get one for this TV-I HAD to buy the warranty or cancel order. Further, said Samsung's warranty is only for 90days. Call to Samsung confirmed they DO provide stand and 0nly REFURBS covered for 90days-I suspect Prestige is passing off refurbs as new and removing stands to extort warranty sales.My worst Online experience EVER-Shady operators. |

Ordered Camcorder, received e-mail saying I had to call 800# prior to shipping. Individual told me the item was there ready to ship. Then he repeatedly told me I needed to purchase additional items. I repeated declined and asked him to please ship the unit. Then he told me the item I had ordered was Japanesse and asked if I wanted a USA unit. I said the web site said USA units. Then he said the Japan unit would take 8 weeks and hung up on me. |

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RETAILER!! This company seems to be running a scam! I placed my camera order and was later told it was out-of-stock. And the website shows the item as "In-Stock"! After trying to contact someone with the company for nearly a week (no one would ever pic-up their phone), I finally got through. However,I wasted more than 45 minutes with unscrupulous people who would immediately place me on hold and/or transfer me to another extension where I was put on hold again. No one would give me a straight answer as to when I could expect delivery, much less apologize for any inconvenience. RUN FROM THIS RETAILER!!! |

This merchant has continued to list as available, and in stock, a 58" Panasonic Plasma TV, and has confirmed my order by telephone (and tried to sell me cables and extended warranties I did not want). It makes me unhappy to have had to deal with their deception and to spend time on the telephone cancelling my order. |

I ordered a Samsung 32 inch HDTV and a Panasonic camera on Black Friday. A sale person call me to let me know that the Samsung is in back order, it will take 2 weeks. Tha Panasonic camera is available in stock. One month later, I have not received any confirmation for shipment nor received any shipment. I called. The saleman told me that both are in back order. I also found out that the TV does not have USA warranty. I can get the TV now with 200 dollars more. I went back to the Prestige Camera site. The TV and the price I previouly ordered is still listed "available in stock". I cancelled both orders. I was reassured that I will receive a cancelled confirmation right away. Again, one week later, I called. They told me that they were sorry not to send the confirmation. They reassured me that they will immediately send the confirmation. One month later, I still have not see any confirmation. |

I places an order online but before I finished, I called the merchant direct and verified the shipping rates and delivery times. Everything changed one day later and the shipping went from 199.00 to 1000.00. I cancelled and the person helping me didn't really care. |

They are a scam. They sold me a Nikon D40, refurbished body only and since I didn't want to buy a battery or don't remember what other stuff they were offering me on the phone (3 days after I put the order); they said that what I bought was in japanese and I wouldn't understand anything and the warranty was in Europe...bla-bla-bla...everything to avoid selling me the body camera at the arranged price. Avoid these guys... |

The worst place I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Ordered on 12-2, Received 2 phone calls wanting to verify information. All the information they had was 100% correct but didn't I want to upgrade or perhaps purchase a better warranty (shades of BAIT & SWITCH). I refused this cheap attempt to get me away from my original order. I punched up on non delivery on 12-15. Minimum 25 minutes waiting on the phone, talked to 2 or 3 so called representatives none of whom had any idea of what was going on or how to talk to a customer. The end result was that they did not have what I had ordered and maybe will ship in another week. When I told them to cancel the sale,unbelievably they wanted to transfer my call again. My reccomendation is to not deal with this outfit. |

My 2nd order from Prestige. Guess I'll learn soon. Ordered camera 12/1, finally received email to call them to confirm my order(?) on 12/5. Waited on the phone about 5 min. listening to bad music, then finally spoke with someone to confirm that I did order the camera. Later that day, received email that order was processed. Next day, received email that item was out of stock. I COULD HAVE HAD MY CAMERA FROM 5 OTHER PLACES BY NOW! NEVER AGAIN will I order from here. Same thing happened early last year with a laptop. Again, slow to learn, but no more from Prestige Camera! |

Advertise low prices on items they list as available. Prestige then send e-mail stating that item is on back-order but web site still list, as of Jan 5th, the item as available. Three Attempts to contact via telephone have failed, last attempt I was on hold for over 30 mins and Prestige then hung up the telephone. I have yet to receive item I ordered. |

I wanted to order Nikon Lens. I found the best deal on this site, the best price. I placed the order. ANd then my phone start to ringing, somebody was telling me that I actually have to pay more if I want to get the item I orderd (?!). The representative was very rude and inpatient. I was promised to get the lens on CHristmas and of course didn't happend, even a week after. I cancelled my order and never want to do buissnes with them again. |

I ordered a camera that was listed in stock. Was asked to call a sales agent to confirm my order. The sales person tried to sell me accessories which I declined. Then I got an email announcing that my camera was not in stock. But the website still lists it in stock. Attempts to reach the store by phone have been unsuccessful. |

I ordered a Blu-ray player for my wife for Christmas and I gave Prestige my cell phone number as the contact. Today my wife receives a phone call from Prestige to inform her that the Blu-ray had shipped. I had the player sent to my office rather than my home (so my wife would not find out about her Christmas present), but Prestige proceeded to lookup my home phone number rather than use the number I had provided on the account. Evidently they looked up my phone number based on the billing address of my credit card, which is of course going to be my home rather than my address. The customer service person was very short with his answers, and said that there is no way Prestige would have done that. Well, I must have imagined my wife just calling me to tell me that Prestige had just called her with information about a Blu-ray. Regardless of the less expensive prices at Prestige, I will NEVER AGAIN order anything from this vendor. Customer NO Service is pathetic. |

When I called them to add an item on an order placed several hours earlier they surprised me with a 9 percent "insurance charge" on the order. That never appeared on the online checkout page. Their "free" ground shipping would have cost me more than $120 Insurance on a $1300 camera and lens order. I could have gotten overnight shipping for less. The customer service rep tried to sell me an extra overpriced battery by telling me the battery in the box would last only 15 minutes on a charge. I cancelled the order and bought from an honest dealer. |

I placed my instock order November 17th and I am still waiting to receive it. They send you an e-mail saying they need to verify billing information but it just a reason to upsell you on their products. Trying to call them so you can get your order shipped is painful. When you do get through to customer service they are not helpful and RUDE not to say Incompetent and end up transfering you and getting cut off numerous times. Very frustrating this will be the last time I order from this supplier. Buyers beware!!! |
