Overall quite evasive about my order after the order was placed. Gave me incorrect information about the shipper. I can not find my order. They keep telling me to call back but never answer my questions. They keep saying to call another day when the customer service department is open. Apparently, the hours depend on whether you need help - if you need it they are not open. Be VERY careful with this company. Something is wrong with them but I don't know what! |

I have had to cancel my order. The marketing practices of this company are dismal. I ordered a Kodak Z1012 IS on 12/3/08 and was told on my "verification call" that in order to get an "American camera" rather than the Japanese version (which was NOT evident ANYWHERE on the website; I checked thoroughly), I would have to pay and additional $60. I cancelled my order after more than 30 minutes on hold and speaking to a customer service rep, "Andy", who tried to make this scenario seem normal. I am very displeased with the deceiptful marketing. |

Classic "bait and switch". They will call to try to sell you overpriced accessories, and if you refuse they will send you an email telling you it is out of stock. I waited a month, and it never came back into stock, even though it remained listed as "in stock" on their web site. Don't believe the low prices: they will never deliver at that cost. |

Ordered on 12/1 - received notification 4 days later it was out of stock - but would be receiving shipment in 10 days. Called 10 days later and now they won't receive more until 3-4 weeks. Would I ever order from them again? NO. If I hadn't called to check on the order I would not have known it was delayed another month. And the worst of it??? It is still showing that it is in stock and available when I checked today. Stay AWAY from this merchant! Buyers BEWARE! Finally canceled this order.... when they couldn't give a delivery date. I had to call them - otherwise, I think I would still be waiting. |

Very unethical and deceptive business practices. They advertise this TV for $1133.00 plus $200.00 shipping, not bad. How silly of me to think that it would come with a stand like the picture shows it does.Plus there add says nothing about needing a stand or a mount.I did some checking. At other places it comes with a stand. But no.I need to spend $400.00 to get the stand. (and I was told I was getting a deal at that price) I told there rep. that I had just looked at the TV at circuit city the night before and the price was $1420.00. (I was wrong it is $1499.00)and that it came with a stand. There rep. promptly looked on line and said no, circuit city's price was $2100.00. I called my credit card company to stop payment and emailed the company to cancel the order. They emailed back and said I needed to call to cancel. After dozens of tries (busy) I talked to a person who gave me a hard time but did confirm the cancellation. I will never buy anything from this place. You decide. |

BEWARE! This site is a scam! Purchases < $500 are not processed!!! 1) Phone rep would not take my order because it was less than $500...must place it on the web. 2) a day after placing order on web got an e-mail to call 800# x260 to "verify billing address and ask about additional accessories". 3) E-mailed back verifying billing address. Got e-mail saying, no, I had to talk to the person at the phone extension indicated. 4) Order # was not in the automated system. 5) After 10 calls and 4 messages left with no return call, I got through a week later. Billing address verified. 6) next day got e-mail, they were out of stock. 7) the website still said it was In Stock, but product now posted at a higher price. Conclusion: This took a week and many phone calls, with no product sent. Got the impression that orders under $500 were not profitable, and minimally you'd be harassed if you ever got your product. I lost a week and a lot of time for nothing!!!! |

Classic Bait & Switch...they sell "gray market" products (products packaged for foreign sale) and then tell you they are out of stock and offer you the "american" version for just $XX more. Proceed with caution! |

BEWARE! BEWARE! If a deal is too good to be true, it usually is. Prestige Camera offered the Olympus E-520 SLR with lens for 20% less than their nearest competitor. The day after I placed the order, I received an email stating "We are required to speak to you in order to verify your billing information." When I telephoned, I was put on hold for 20 minutes and then a high presser salesman tried to sell me accessories. As I was about to hang up, he told me that the camera I had ordered was an import model...not intended for sale in the US; the monitor would display information in Japanese characters. However, for just another $80, I could get the US model. I CANCELED THE ORDER OFFERED BY THIS BATE AND SWITCH RETAILER. |

Buyer beware... The products that I ordered did arrive in quality conditon...when they did finally arrive. Included in my order was a Blu-Ray player that, unknown to me was no longer made (Panasonic DPM-BD35K). Prestige Camera never contacted me in any way about that fact. I had to call Prestige (3 times) to ask about the status of the unit. Finally a salesperson relented and told me that that particular player was no longer being made. At that point they offered to send the Samsung evivalent to me. I asked them to overnight the player which the salesperson agreed to do...I have yet to see it... |

This is a bait & switch company. All products listed on this site are Japanese (i.e. instruction manuals and menu options). Warranty is not valid in the United States nor with Fuji USA. PrestigeCamera was willing to sell me an American version for $70 more and I was also told that all product listed on their website was for NON-American purchase.....only Japanese. Be aware, this is a bait & switch company. |

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAM ARTISTS!Same as everyone else. Place the order, they send you a BS email saying that you have to call to verify billing information. When you call they don't even ask you about billing info, they just go striaght in to the hard sell of overpriced accessories. Unfortunately, it wasn't until this point that the alarm went off in my head. I started researching the company and found review after review just like my experice up to this point, and my future looked bleak. So I called and cancelled my order immediately. Despite 3 requests by email, I have been unable to get written verification of the order being cancelled. I'm watching my credit card account closely. I also went on to the Better Business Bureau's website and found that Prestige Camera is the same company as Broadway Photo, and that Broadway Photo had 361 complaints filed against them in the past 12 months, 186 of which were still unresolved. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAM ARTI |

On Dec 14, 2008 I ordered, from Adorama.com a 52" Sharp LC51SE94U; Order was confirmed and it would ship in 3 days for arrival in 7-10 days. They tried to upsell. Two weeks later no TV, we called and now it is backordered. Then we ordered an alternative Sony 52XBR6 (order #53921680), as they confirmed it was in stock and would be shipped. Upon confirmation they explained that this is not a US model and we would have to purchase the warrantee, remote control and stand. I called Sony and they explained this is illegal, that these items are included from the manufacturer. Prestige Camera explained to me they work through 31 names on line and any order I place most likely will be forwarded to them Watch OUT!!!! Classic bait and switch!!!!! |

These guys are CROOKS! I have made two big ticket purchases here, and both times I did not receive an itemized receipt. It wasn't an issue the first time around, however, this most recent order included additional expensively priced non-OEM l accessories, one of which was an AC adapter for a Nikon D300 that didn't fit. What I received was a universal multi-voltage adapter with numerous plug tips. None of which fit the Nikon body. I ended up buying a Nikon branded adapter for $10 cheaper off Amazon.com which arrived in 3 days. The Online offeringsI asked if the camera body and lens were gray market or USA, the guy said USA bodies were an additional $300. Like a dolt, I paid even though $1300 for an "USA import that Nikon will accept for repair if needed" is on par to other wholesaler prices and much less than $1800 local retail. After all accessories and extended warrantees, I paid retail anyways. I will not shop here again. |

I purchased a Nikon D40 from Prestige Camera on the 26th for a GREAT price - far better than all of the others I found on other sites. Received an email yesterday requiring me to call them to "verify the billing address" before they would ship. I called them and they proceeded to telemarket the living daylights out of me. After chewing up my cell phone minutes, I asked the sales guy to please just ship my camera. He indicated it would ship that day. Imagine my surprise when I received an email stating that my item is now "out of stock". Can't help but wonder if it might have been "in stock" had I purchased an additional $300 worth of merchandise from them on the phone yesterday? What a disappointing experience. Had to go to a box store for the camera, (which is fabulous!). |

When I placed this order the item showed as being in stock and would ship imediately. Later that day I received a call to confirm my order and was pressured to purchase other items that I did not want. I had requested the item to ship Fed-X 2day so that it would be here in time for a present before leaving on vacation for a week and half. It did not arrive on the day expected and when I called I was told it had not arrived in the warehouse yet. We left on vacation without the present!!!!!! |

I just bought a Garmin nuvi 265wt from this company. The price was listed as $230. When I called to confirm the order, the sales guy asked if I wanted to buy the 2009 version of the North America map for $30, plus some stuff like lifetime POI (point of interest) updates. I asked what map version came with the unit, and he said 2007 or 2008, and that it would cost $99 to upgrade from Garmin. I trusted him and got the upgrade. Then after I received the product, I realized that pretty much all the current Garmin products came with 2009 maps, as I checked it out at Best Buy. Amazon also says it on their product page that most Garmin products come with the most recent map available, and they sell it for about $260, so its about the same price I ended up paying at Prestige. I feel pretty much duped by this unscrupulous vendor and would never purchase from them again! |

The price was good for a Canon FS100 camcorder. I got a confirmation saying I needed to call their number, which I thought was odd. They tried to sell me some accessories, which I thought annoying but I could deal with. Then they told me the model I bought was Japanese and all the menus were in Japanese! To get the english version, I had to pay $100 more!!! They did not have this disclaimer anywhere on their site and even admitted it was not on their site that the camera was in Japanese. I do not recommend dealing with this company! |

After placing the order for a Samsung 61" LED Dlp TV, I was sent an e-mail to call to verify the shipping address. Of course, the rep tried to sell me additional stuff I didn't need, then asked if I had an LED bulb for the TV. I was stunned and said that they came with one....oh no...not theirs! He wanted to sell me the original LED bulb that came with the TV for $200.00! What a bunch of crooked jerks! I cancelled the order. |

Online ordering useless, as you must call to confirm and have them sell you other items. Ordered a TV and the great priced TV wasn't at all, since they pull out the TV stand and charge you $70 if you want it! CROOKS! If it is NEW IN BOX, it comes with the stand!!! BEWARE and buy elsewhere. (or order without stand and get it on ebay for $15) WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN! |

I purchased a Pioneer car stereo & iPod cable from Perstige Camera.com on 11/17/08. The person on the phone was very polite and helpful. The Pioneer unit showed up actually a day before I had expected, but the iPod cable was not to be found. I called Prestige Stereo and once again was helped by a very polite person who looked into my order history and explained that the iPod cable was back ordered and that I should receive it within another week. Five days later it arrived. Despite all the negative reviews on this site about Prestige Camera, my experience with them has been really wonderful to date. I am about to order a Canon XSi camera and lens kit from them as they, once again, appear to have the best prices and also that my last experience with them has been excellent. I hope it continues to be so. For now I must say that I highly recommend them! |

DO NOT buy from this merchant. They offer low prices but here is the catch. They make you call them under the guise of wanting to verify your billing address! Then they try to up sell you bunch of things you don't need. But worst of all, I tried to reach the number that they gave me for two days and all I get is a busy signal. I tried their customer service and still not answer. I sent an email to their customer support as well and still no answer. |
