I ordered a TV and found out that it did not come with a swivel stand so I called and they wanted to sell me one for an additional $130.00. It would of been better if they mentioned the missing swivel stand more clearly on their web site. Also they wanted to sell me addtional warranty. I decided to cancel my order and the person was rude and hung up on me. I bought the same TV from another web site. No big deal. Just FYI. |

These people are impossible to get through to, and if you do--because you have to call to "confirm" your order--you never will be able to buy the product without extras. You will be on hold 10 minutes per call and then will get "disconnected" if they don't talk you into it. On about the third call, they say this model's imported, do you speak Japanese? etc. I'd tried before to buy a refurb model of the one I had before and they said,'Oh, that one's taken, though it's still listed a month later. |

Horrible experience, avoid at all costs. Or...you will receive an email that you need to contact them because a problem with your credit card. Actually they will try to sell you additional crap, a deparate kit, extra warranty, etc... After all that, the second day, I was told that they don't even have the camera in stock. Tried to cancel in line, they couldn't finf my order...Shipping is free(but handling is $150 !!!). Ridiculous. |

TOTAL RIP OFF!!! Ultimate bait and switch operation. I attempted to buy a video projector. I get an email that says they need to "verify" some info. I get on the phone with Scott at extension #285, and he tells me that the projector does not come with a bulb. Those are "extra." I have purchased projectors before, and they always came with a bulb. This company is a total rip-off. Will never do business with them again. Watch out, because I think that Broadwayphoto.com is the same scam. |

No where in the copy of the description of this item was it stated that this item was a "Japanese" lense. Instead I recieved an email to call in regards to the verification of my billing address. At this time I was solicited make further purchases and was then informed that this was a Japanese lense and for the "American" version it cost more. I cancelled the order. I contacted Customer service to complain about the "bait and switch" and was informed I was no longer a customer. |

I placed an order and thankfully was required to call to confirm it. Online it didn't say the camera I ordered was a Japanese model. When I called to confirm my order I asked about the rebate available and was then informed it's a Japanese camera. Now I've missed out on the rebate which expired yesterday. I can't even save the $100 from the rebate by getting it elsewhere. I would never order from them again and won't recommend them to anyone. |

I placed an order for a sony KDL-32XBR6 for $754 plus $47 shipping. Seemed simple enough. Then i got an email saying I had to call them to confirm. All was well until the rep asked if i wanted a wall mount or hdmi cable. I told him that i am using the stand for it, not mounting on the wall. He told me he was going to throw a stand in for me. I asked what or if that was going to cost me anything. He said $199. I asked if there wasnt any stand at all in the box? he said NO - you must provide your own stand. I looked through sony documentation / specs on this tv. It says it includes a stand. Are they taking it out of the box and reselling it to me? Forget it - I cancelled the order. I think they did me a great favor by killing this deal. They are known as about a half dozen different company names, all of them have a bad reputation. I'd rather pay more money than deal with crooked people. |

My email TO Prestige Camera today: ! CANCEL THIS ORDER ! I am informing VISA accordingly that I refuse to accept and will dispute any charge for this item from Pestige Camera. I have just been informed by your "friendly team" that you expect me to pay $129.99 for the STANDARD stand for the Samsung television which is INCLUDED in box. Nice try...on the "WHOLESALE" versus "RETAIL" bit. Anybody actually buy that line? I suppose so - as you're still in business. It is an EXCELLENT SCAM... but it's not for me. When I said I was not interested in the inflated priced "add-ons" and that I was no longer interetsed in buying the TV from you because of this - your "friendly" agent hung up on me. Of course after now reading the the reviews about PRESTIGE CAMERA ... YOU DON'T CARE!!! Fool me once - shame on me! Of course, word will eventually be spread around and you will be looking for a new line of work. Selling wrecked used cars would be too honorable. |

When my order was placed, I submitted a good review. However, my order (camera body) was never filled - out of stock - but the web page still shows the product in stock today. I was offered the same camera with a lens at $200 more. Be careful about this vender. The low pricing is a bait-and-switch. Also, be sure the product is for the US market. Another camera body advertised at a great price proved to be the Japanese model (camera and manual). US models were about $200 more. |

Bait and Switch. I order a GPS for 380 and battery pack for 29.99. Instead of just sending the order, they said I had to call. So, I called and their rep said I order the wrong battery pack (even though that was the one in the screen they recommended) and the "correct" pack was 99.99. Then when I said I was canceling the battery pack and I just wanted the GPS. The cost of the GPS went from 380 to 429. So I canceled the entire order. |

I ordered a JVC Everio GZ-MG330H Everio Hard Disk Digital Camcorder (Silver) on Aug 31st for $236. I got an email on Sept 3rd that I needed to call them to confirm the order. When I called them to confirm the order - the sales man started using sales tactics to sell me additional accessories that I didnt' need - additional batteries, lens filters, warranties, battery charger etc to which I refused. Then he pulls a bait and switch on me telling me that the camcorder I ordered was a grey market(Japanese) version came with japanese manual and a battery that lasted only 20 mins. so If I need to buy the US version of the camcorder with a 1 year warranty and a longer lasting battery then I need to pay $333 which was $100 more than what I had ordered. When I ordered the item no where did it say on the webpage that it was a japanese version. I truly didn't appreciate this bait and switch and canceled the order immediately. Please beware of the con company - don't buy from them. |

Unfortunately I did not initially do my Pricegrabber homework and placed an order for a camera. The price seemed to be too good to be true and I became suspicious when the order confirmation had no product details and no final price. At that point I looked at the merchant ratings and saw that this merchant is a pump and dump crook. So I was now prepaired for the order confirmation call which came today. I had a list of prepaired questions for the high pressure sales person. As I expected, the camera was gray market with no US warranty. For a "real" US version the price went from $281 to $369 ($40 more than the price of legitamate merchants). Needless to say, I CANCELLED the order. Thanks for Pricegrabber merchant ratings!! |

Heads up, folks. I ordered a Canon Powershot A650-IS for the price advertised. To ship the product, I had to call and "confirm" my order before it would ship. At that time I learned the following: 1) They were trying to sell accessories, 2) They were trying to sell an extended warranty, 3) The camera I ordered was the Japanese version and to purchase an American model would cost an additional $50 (without an extended warranty it would have to be shipped to Japan if any problems arose), and 4) Free Shiping did not include and additional "handling and insurance cost" of $40. If the price of this item seems to good to be true, you are correct. It's a scam. I've been ordering products online forever, and I have never been more disapppointed by false representation. My advice: Pay the difference and deal with a reputable seller. |

This site is a scam. I ordered a Samsung LN52A750r1FXZA yesterday and received an email this morning stating "We are required to speak to you in order to verify your billing information". When I called I was informed that the set did NOT come with a remote or a stand! Give me a break! No $2,000 TV comes without a remote. They did tell me that one with a remote and stand would be $300 more if I wanted it. The TV was a Samsung LN52A750R1FXZA listed on their page. Stay away from this merchant! |

This merchant is very dishonest and rude. I placed an order online and called to comfirm the correct information. The sales person admitted the description on their website was incorrect, but immediately began pushing accessories (pedestal base, power strip, HDMI cables). I declined all of the accessories, including the extended warranty, and the sales person was extremely rude and stated that unless I bought their extended warranty, the TV was locked from ever buying another third-party warranty. He stated the TV is bought wholesale overseas and does not include a manufacturer 1-year warranty and wanted me to state I understood that I could never have the TV repaired unless I bought their warranty. I stated to cancel my order several times, and the sales person hung up after saying "never call us again"! If you want a quality product without hassle, DO NOT shop at Prestige Camera. |

Prestiege camera is a Joke they put lies on the internet and then want to call you and tell you you were looking at the Japanese model when it says all US maps and info right on the order. They are a joke and if got time to waste with a bunch of then go ahead they are a joke and don't even try to sell what they are advertising on the internet. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE I ordered a Garmin nuvi 770 GPS for their listed price of $341. Their e-mail confirmation of this order said to call them first to confirm the order. The real reason for this call was so they could pressure me into buying “upgrades“. The belligerent customer service rep said that I had ordered the “Import” model which only came with outdated 2006 maps which were in Japanese and would I like to upgrade to 2008 maps in English for much more $$. I declined on the upgrades. The rep was taken back and repeatedly tried to sell me the upgrades. I repeatedly declined. I told him to send me the GPS even with the old 2006 maps and in the Japanese language. He refused to put through the order (because he was lying about the maps and the Japanese language). I asked him what his name was and his superior’s name. He refused to tell me either one. Their webpage for this camera said nothing about an “import” model or it being in the Japanese language. |

I wanted to get the tracking number for my order since it was sent express on 09/09/08,and now it is 09/13/08, and it is not here.Both your representatives Brian and Chad promised me that they would email me the tracking number, neither one did. The camera I placed an order for was listed on their website for $225 with free shipping. When I called to confirm my order (I got an e-mail saying to do this), I was informed that I had ordered the Japanese model (with all instructions in Japanese)-- and that I would have to pay $50 extra for the American model. I could not find anywhere on the internet site stating this. Also, I was informed the shipping was free but that I had to pay $18 for insurance. This whole experience was very deceiving. The salesperson also "offered at a special price" accessories that were listed cheaper on the internet. I could not recommend this company to anyone. |
