First, it lets you connect a USB printer directly to your network, eliminating the need to dedicate a PC to print serving chores. Strengths: it's small and easy to install, even got it to run under Linux

Weaknesses: Runs warm, and stops responding. It begins responding when I turn it off and on.

I called Linksys support, and they had me looking at the drivers and etc. I tried to explain that was not the problem, the problem was that the device stopped responding unless I turned it off and on. I couldn't even log on to the configuration web page until I did this.

Same here - whenever I made a change to the configuration the USB LED would go out - needed to pull the plug (no power on/off switch) and then everything worked
